@JimBoardman Some 1st choice players should be squad players, some squad players shouldn't be here. We're not beyond repair because of 1 bad game.

The fact that you cannot rely on him is really becoming an issue and as much as he is good when fit, he is rarely available.

It seems very unlikely that going forward things will be any different and that is a a huge problem.

A big, big decision what to do with him.

Not aimed at you or anyone in particular, but that is why we need a squad of players who are top notch!

Yup, I've always said our squad is crap and most of our first teamers shouldn't be in the first team. Kuyt, Lucas, Carra, Skrtel etc are the minimum level(squad players) we should be aiming for, not the maximum.

what pissed me off was the other half of the pub was full of brown people watching the cricket. and they cheered every 5 minutes, and every time--every ****ing time--they did so, i believed something important had happened in the match that ****ing mattered. excitement fatigue.

We'll already be talking to players who we want to sign for next season and probably some deals are already done so finishing 6th, 7th or 8th won't make that much difference imo.
Because of that and the injuries I would like to see some of the younger lads given a game, playing Soto gains us absolutely nothing as I pray he isn't still here next season so play Wilson CB and Robinson LB (for example)
Get Coady into the squad and play him instead of Spearing, the pressure is as low now as it's likely to be (hopefully) so now is an ideal time to blood a few of the younger players and see what they are made of

Him and Aquilani are the only players who actually look to create space or move into space. The majority of the others (I do not include Reina obviously, Agger, Gerrard or Suarez in this group, oh and maybe Johnson and Kelly) are for the majority of the time just statues!

I'd want neither Aquilani or Meireles to be starting regularly for Liverpool.
I'd much prefer Meireles but that's more because Aqua is a waste of space in England, not because i'm a Meireles fan.

Back to the squad as a whole...Anyone who doesn't think we need about 8 new players is quite frankly deluded.

We have a good defensive system but we are really rubbish attacking. The goals we score are mostly down to great skill by someone like Suarez, not thanks to any great attacking system.

Kenny have a lot to work to do.

I would myself play some youngsters the rest of the season. Give players like Suso and Sterling a chance. Give Flanagan a chance. Nothing to lose by doing it now. A few others could also get a chance.

We need players that would show heart, passion and the will to win whatever it takes. I really don't understand for example why Cole is getting playing time when he will probably be off in the summer. Play someone like Sterling instead. A player with pace and skill. That is what we lack.

"but they're not ready" never heard ****ing worse. watch a shower of ****s stroll around the pitch all ****ing season getting smashed all over the pitch by sides like Blackpool, West Brom, West Ham etc etc etc, when we could playing some kids that actually give a ****.
It pisses me off greatly.

Flanagan's 18, Coady's 18, Suso will be 18 in Nov...get them into the squad and involved from the beginning of the 11-12 season.
Stop the pussy-footing around them.
