It pisses me off greatly.
Flanagan's 18, Coady's 18, Suso will be 18 in Nov...get them into the squad and involved from the beginning of the 11-12 season.
Stop the pussy-footing around them.
Every other club in the league play their youngsters. Why shouldn't we do it?
Would Flanagan be any worse on the right than Carra? I doubt that. Would Suso or Sterling be any worse than Maxi, Spearing or Cole? I doubt that.
Carra should never play on the right. He is **** in that position so why play him there? When Carra plays then he should always play in the middle.
Play players in their best position. If a right back gets injured then a central defender shouldn't be moved out there. Don't change the system to much.
If you move around the defenders to much and play them out of position then the result is a mess.Stop the cyberhate

Play Sterling and Suso and that wouldn't be a problem. We have youngsters that offers us what the first team are missing. Play them. Give them a chance.Originally posted by PTP View PostGod we were ****... Lack of width pace and creativity... Same old same old
The excuse that if they play a bad game then their confidence will be destroyed is simply rubbish. They would love every minute out there and take it a big step in the right direction.
If the confidence would be destroyed because of one or a few games then I would be very disappointed and surprised. They are clever enough to know that you won't succeed in every game. They would take it as a learning experience.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Both of them are just kids and they need to be slowly phased in and not thrown to the wolves.Originally posted by Arn View PostPlay Sterling and Suso and that wouldn't be a problem. We have youngsters that offers us what the first team are missing. Play them. Give them a chance.

IMO.
They're already playing at the level above their age group so to suggest it's time for them to be featured in our first team line up would be imo very premature especially for PL.
Their time will come and playing them too soon may backfire so why take unnecessary risk.
At this point we just need to stay patient.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

West Brom boss Roy Hodgson plays down Liverpool revenge

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson insisted Saturday's crucial 2-1 Premier League victory against Liverpool did not feel like revenge against his former club.
Hodgson lasted just 191 days in charge at Anfield before he left the club in January, taking over at the relegation-threatened Baggies five weeks later.
"I don't take any particular pleasure in that victory," said Hodgson.
"The great pleasure I take is beating Liverpool because it is not something West Brom do very often."
Liverpool took the lead through a Martin Skrtel header after the restart at the Hawthorns but Chris Brunt converted two penalties to hand WBA victory - and in doing so boost their prospects of Premier League survival.
The win lifted West Brom to 12th in the table, four points clear of the relegation zone and the highest total they have managed in the top flight.
Red letter day for West Brom - Hodgson
"I am more than satisfied, I am really happy with the performance," added Hodgson.
"I thought apart from the first 15 minutes, we took the game to Liverpool and played some really good football.
"When we went a goal down, it was very much against the run of play but it was a great achievement for the players to put that behind them and score two goals."
Baggies striker Peter Odemwingie was brought down for both of the penalties - the first following a challenge with defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos and the second after he tried to guide the ball round goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
"They were both very clear penalties and the result of excellent work by Odemwingie," continued the Baggies boss.
"Those two goals were a result of quite a lot of pressure we were able to exert on the Liverpool defence.
"We've come back a couple of times against Stoke, Wolves and now against Liverpool. I don't doubt the commitment of the players and their ability to come back from being a goal down.
"We do have a considerable goal threat in the team and it was nice to see the team pass the ball so well against a quality team like Liverpool."
It was a frustrating afternoon for Reds boss Kenny Dalglish, who wants clarification on the issue of who takes responsibility for awarding penalties.
"The only thing I would say about the penalties is one was given by the referee and one by the linesman," said Dalglish.
"If they just tell us when the linesman takes over the authority from the referee, then I think we will understand it better.
"I know the linesman is there to be of assistance to referee, but it would be important if they tell us when they overrule the ref because he was only 10 yards from play for the second one."
Liverpool lost defensive duo Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger to injury in the opening half.
Those injuries followed the news that skipper Steven Gerrard had picked up a knock in training on Friday.
"Agger has done the tendon behind his knee and Glen looks like he has damaged his muscle in his leg," said Dalglish.
"Steven was training on Friday, ready to be available for the match at West Brom, then innocuously tried to turn with the ball, and he felt a sharp pain.
"It is the same area of his groin but not the same thing. We will get him assessed and at the end of the week we will know better about everyone."Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

If KK was the only option then FSG would have given him a new deal by now. They obviously have someone else in mind. Clarke is on a long term deal IIRC but not KK. You start to wonder why?
I'm starting to believe that Villas Boas will be our manager next season. Just a hunch.
It's not good for the club not knowing who our manager next season will be. It will be more difficult to sign quality players. They want to know what type of football to expect before they sign. They want to know what direction the club is going etc.
FSG need to sort it out as soon as possible.Stop the cyberhate

Yep, they're clearly undecided. In fact i reckon they're more in favour of getting rid of Kenny, than to give him a contract because if they wanted the latter it would have happened long ago(as you say).Originally posted by Arn View Post

Maybe they're just figuring out a way of going about it so as to not risk a backlash from the fans.

who knows we might be getting mourinho especially as rafa was linked with the Real job this week. the rumours were suggesting that rafa had a some sort of understanding that if mourinho left he would take charge.
i'd take mourinho but prefer someone who isnt quite so opinionated, someone less controversial and someone who is willing to develop players long term.
seriously beginning to doubt whether kenny is the right option because in the games we've lost recently we've just ****ing capitulated and today we were outplayed comprehensively by west brom in every dept.
obviously injuries have not helped and losing gerrard is a huge blow but we look devoid of ideas, penetration and quality but another new manager will only take another season to find that out.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

He has been exceptional in the final third at times this season, but by his own admission that is an unusual event for him. We can't expect that every week and sadly, if that is all he is offering then we need to think again.
In fairness to Raul this is his first year in England. He's come from a team who wins pretty much every week to a team who has been in absoloute chaos. Can't be easy for him. I wouldn't write him off.
But one thing is for certain, if we don't make Europe it will be hard to see so many squad players being carried. So if we don't see a first team spot then he is at risk.
But on the whole, there are many more players I'd let go before selling him.

We have a good defensive system but we are really rubbish attacking. The goals we score are mostly down to great skill by someone like Suarez, not thanks to any great attacking system.
Kenny have a lot to work to do.
I would myself play some youngsters the rest of the season. Give players like Suso and Sterling a chance. Give Flanagan a chance. Nothing to lose by doing it now. A few others could also get a chance.
We need players that would show heart, passion and the will to win whatever it takes. I really don't understand for example why Cole is getting playing time when he will probably be off in the summer. Play someone like Sterling instead. A player with pace and skill. That is what we lack.
Time to give the youngsters a chance.
I would love Aquilani back with Saurez infront of him. A proper playmaker.
I agree to an extent about youngsters. We have nothing to lose now, everything to gain

I agree. Didn't want him in the first place as I remember his obsession with three centre-backs and generally weird tactics. The only thing in his favour is that he isn't Hodgson. No room for sentiment in football so, Dalglish out and up-and-coming young progressive manager in. Old Kenny seems to be the only person who thinks Spearing is Premier League standardOriginally posted by el matador View Posti just want this season to end now. the longer it goes on the less convinced i am about kenny being given the managers job.
