And so more short- termism begins.

I stated I had doubts about KD and stated we should wait until the end of the season. I was slagged off etc because KD was a miracle worker who had revolutionised the club and was the missing ingredient.

One crappy loss and now he is not the man for the job and we need to decide now.

Sheesh...just calm down. We can make all our decisions at the end of the season.

to be fair yesterday's loss not even the best manager in the world could have avoided it. the 2 goals liverpool conceded were mistakes by the greek. what if there was still agger???

liverpool need 5 or 6 players to compete. one thing is for sure. kd's style of play is much more suited to lfc than rh's.

No we can't. Many of the big transfer deals is agreed months before the transfer window opens. You do the scouting and talking with players and clubs now. If we don't decide who our next manager will be then we could miss out on top targets. We need to sort it out as soon as possible so the manager can start to plan next season.

It is still the tactics by KK and Clarke. They could have played a back three instead of using two central defenders as fullbacks. They could have played Meireles in the middle instead of out wide. Instead he played Lucas and Spearing in the middle. You simply can't play only Lucas and Spearing in the middle because Spearing is simply not good enough in a two man central midfield.

KK and Clarke got it totally wrong yesterday. You can't just ignore criticizing KK only because he is the King. He makes big mistakes, like yesterday. Roy would have been slaughtered if he had done the same thing.

While I agree with points of that who would of played wing back if we went in with 3 centre backs?
Also as much as I don't rate Spearing he played well away to Sunderland so deserved to keep his place and while longterm he won't be good enough for us what Kenny is doing by picking him (and Kelly when fit) is restoring the belief that LFC give youth a chance.

It's all part of the bigger picture, playing Kelly and Spearing gives more belief to Coady, Sterling, Suso etc... That they will break through.
Most young players choose Arsenal because they know Wenger will give them games and I think Kenny is starting that again with us
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

What we also lacked yesterday was leadership. Someone out there that wouldn't accept what was going on. Someone that told the players to start caring out there. Someone that told the players start working their socks off.

Carra isn't a great Captain and never will be. He will almost never admit that he is at fault and hold his hand up. He almost always blames someone else.

WBA simply wanted to win the game more than we did and that is something you simply can't defend. They out battled us with ease. A walk in the park for them winning battle after battle.

Olsson isn't one of the best left fullbacks in the league but he made Carra look like a lost schoolboy yesterday. That is one example of how easily they won the battles out there.

No leadership at all in the team yesterday.

We played with three in central midfield against Sunderland IIRC. Meireles played in the middle and not out wide and Kuyt also played more as a striker than out wide in that game. It was more like a 4-3-3 in that game than a 4-4-2.

All managers get it wrong from time to time - I remember Liverpool vs Reading when we were flying a few seasons back - few questionable changes by the then manager and we lost - point is managers make their decisions and live and die by them and certainly not one of them is infallable.

Basically we lost 2 defenders within 25 miuntes and the squad isn't good enough - who would you have played instead of the squad that was picked for the game? Talking about bringing in Suso and Sterling alongside trying to bloody Danny Wilson is madness - these are boys nowhere near developed enough physically and need time, maybe one coming on for 10 minutes at the end fair enough but to start in front of more established players out of the blue is just nuts!

Do you ever not take a change to have a pop at Gerrard or Carragher?

What do you expect a captain to do by the way - what makes Terry a good captain for instance? Who would you want to be captain and why?

Thats what the transfer window should bring us. Dalglish is doing better with these rubbish players then Hodgson was. Suarez was a perfect first signing. If we had gotten that midfielder we were after, whos name eludes me right now, we'd probably be doing better in midfield because he seems really solid. Thats not going to happen this transfer season. I think Liverpool is going to look like a completely different team come the start of the new season under Dalglish. Right now he's riding the rot and doing pretty good considering.

The way any modern large club is set up the transfers etc are not just the decision of one man anymore. The transfer strategy etc is already in place I suggest.

But give KD until theend of the season then we can make our decision. Stop all this knee jerk reaction nonsense.

P.S. the scouting etc should have started a long time before now.

"knee jerk reaction nonsense" - coming from the man who labelled Kenny "a disaster" before a ball was kicked under his management, that is absolutely priceless

Shouldn't every footballer be doing that?

I'd want neither Aquilani or Meireles to be starting regularly for Liverpool.
I'd much prefer Meireles but that's more because Aqua is a waste of space in England, not because i'm a Meireles fan.

Back to the squad as a whole...Anyone who doesn't think we need about 8 new players is quite frankly deluded.
Well first of all if you don't know what 'look to create space or move into space' means... fair enough.

But with regard to it, yes every footballer should be doing it. Watching our lot for the last almost 3 seasons though there has definitely been a lack of it, they are like statues on the pitch. They don't move they just want the ball to come to them and when it does, there is invariably several opposition players around them.

As for being deluded, I can safely say I am not one of them. I believe we need quite a big overhaul but I also think we do not need 'players of the moment' for every position, we need a group of players who can play as a team which is why I won't shout down players like N'Zogbia, Cahill and Baines.
