They play much tougher games week in week out.
completely different set up in Spain to here - they don't really have reserves so effectlively they have to play for Barca 'B' (which is their reserve side!)

We'd have to change the entire set up and make up of our league system to be the same as Spain and Germany!

You are aware that this club is in England, though, right? Has it occurred to you that there might be some good reasons for differences in the way things are done here compared to Spain? A lot of kids that could thrive at senior level in Spain might get torn a new one on a regular basis here, have their game completely impinged on by the difference in physicality, and as a result have their development dramatically stunted. You can't expect something that works in Spain to automatically work in England.

Just watched the highlights from last nights MOTD, the first penalty definitely wasn't IMO but the second one was. Suarez really looks a gem doesn't he, I think I would have been happy if we payed double what we did for him.

Ignoring the causing trouble bit for a moment, who says they are not good enough, you?

What do you think of the scum team, are all their players 'world class' or are there a number of players that you would class as ****?

They are top of the league, are still in the FA Cup, still in the Champions League so they must be doing something right with players who are 'not good enough'.

What I am trying to say is that winning teams tend to have a number of players who are 'not good enough' to us fans but actually work very well with others forming a unit, a team.

Yes I think they are mediocre and N'zogbia especially is a waster 9 out 10 games.

United's players are far better than those 3.

It is not case of world class or those players, it is a case of if we buy those 3 we'll likely have spent £40-50m and that would be insane especially on that quality of player.

That quality of player (in Cahill at least, possibly Baines) that seems to be attracting the attentions of scum and the Arse and even if you don't like their managers you have to respect their achievements (and I do realise they make mistakes in purchasing players like all managers). In Cahill rumours suggest that both scum and the arse are willing to spend upwards of £20m.

Do you not agree that buying anyone of these three could actually result in buying a player who becomes quality in that they fit in with the rest of the players and create a team?

i think the tactics and formations have been questionable in the west brom game.

im not sure why we dont play 433 if we dont have any natural wide players and adding the extra man in the middle of the park might help us dominate the game and stop looking so ****ing open to counters.

Kennys job is to make the most of what we have but playing meireles and kuyt out wide pretty much guarantees zilch so why not just start cole out wide instead. If suarez is a willing runner why not start with him out wide left and move kuyt forward to help carroll. Suarez would provide pace and penetration from the wide areas that no one else does.

playing glen johnson left back is another thing that i dont agree with. he should be playing right wing or right side of midfield to add pace and provide some ****ing crosses for our new £35m striker.

At some time you have to ask yourself whats the point of having a target man whos strength is in the air when your team is set up not to cross the ball into the box from the byline.

Its just basic stuff but im not convinced that kenny has got to grips with it yet. I think the next 7 games will decide kennys future. If we get less than 15 points then i think it'll be curtains for the king. However, i would keep steve clarke and pair him with villas boas.

BTW - i sincerely believe that if kenny was their first choice they would have given him the contract already so that going into the final few games the players would be giving 100% to make sure that they are in his plans for next season.

If we don't decide who our next manager will be then we could miss out on top targets. We need to sort it out as soon as possible so the manager can start to plan next season.

Carra isn't a great Captain and never will be. He will almost never admit that he is at fault and hold his hand up. He almost always blames someone else.

WBA simply wanted to win the game more than we did and that is something you simply can't defend. They out battled us with ease. A walk in the park for them winning battle after battle.

Olsson isn't one of the best left fullbacks in the league but he made Carra look like a lost schoolboy yesterday. That is one example of how easily they won the battles out there.

No leadership at all in the team yesterday.
I seem to remember someone being constantly slated and eventually banned, for continuously ramming the same point down people's throats, OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Yet, Arn keeps doing it over and over again, despite the fact that we've heard the anti Carragher/Gerrard stuff a million times - he just keeps ramming it down our throats. And, all of a sudden, as if a different set of rules apply - it's allowed to continue.

I think 20m or so for Cahill is comical quite frankly and I don't put much faith in rumours. He has a reasonable season in a weak league, aside from that he is 25 and has not really done anything and is basically a huge premium for him being English.

N'zogbia would cost over 10 which is comical.

Baines is an average defender and has a decent set piece and would like cost more than 10m.

But you weren't banned, you were sinbinned. I agree it was too lenient but I was outvoted in the Mod Lounge.

                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If you read my post again then you will discover that I said that the team lack leadership and that I pointed out Carra because he is our Captain at the moment. Gerrard was that before and will be when he gets back. That means when you discuss leadership and our lack of it then you must mention both of them.

No one can honestly say that we replaced the leadership Hyypia and Xabi had in the team since we let them to. That is a problem.

If Carra and Gerrard was good leaders then many of our games would have ended in wins instead of dropped points. We lose many of our games and now have a big problem turning games around when go a goal down.

When we had players like Hyypia and Xabi in the team we had players that simply wouldn't accept a player sulking. Now that is acceptable by the look of it. Many of our players simply don't seem to care for parts of a game.

You will never agree with the Gerrard sulking bit last season so it's pointless discussing that with you even that it happened a big part of the season.

It's very strange that Gerrard defends Roy very much in interview after interview, it's the players fault.......

Never heard that when it comes down to defending Rafa......wonder why?

If Gerrard hadn't sulked last season then we would probably finished in the top four and then people defends him for what happened last season. It is really laughable.

No one know how many points we dropped last season because of the Gerrard sulking of course but it is a shame that you even can discuss a thing like that because it should never happen.

The absolute minimum you expect from a player in a game is that he will work his socks off and never sulk. That counts for every player in the squad.

Then you can accept if he play a bad game. Players do that, they are human, but when it comes down to sulking then it is the players own decision to do it. Then they are letting the club, the team mates and the supporters down.
