To be honest, I have not seen enough of Flanagan, or really observed a lot of attacking play from him. I know Kelly looked quite confident coming forward and would overlap for a cross, not so much Wisdom, although both looked very solid defensively. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

The Kelly to centre back thing is always mentioed, but I've never seen him tried there or very, very rarely seen him brought on to cover there.
Charly mentioned it earlier that Kelly has (well, had) a bit more about him than Flanagan. Injuries obviously haven't helped him, whereas Flanagan has gone from strength-to-strength.
Kelly's 25 this year I think?! He's played something like 100 games in his career which is obviously a worry.
If Flanagan continues at this rate then I can see Kelly being moved on. Shame as he had a lot of potential.

I still like him. But Flanagan is great. The fact that he can play on both sides of the field and still look impressive says a lot about him.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

ScouseCafu is what I heard.Originally posted by BigChief View PostBeen meaning to ask, why was he subbed off against WBA? Injury?
Also, WTF is this RedCafu twitter rubbish among our fans? Now the real Cafu has promised to watch Flanno and we're only going to look silly. Flanno is good but not fit to lace Cafu's boots yet.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We went 3 at the back, with Sterling WB.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostTactical I think. Kelly is a bigger, stonger player. I think it was to help with Anichebe chucking himself about. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

thisOriginally posted by Pablo1981 View PostI used to think he looked plucky, gutsy, and hard working. A typical Scouser, but just lacking in quality for the level we need. Thankfully I'd either underestimated how good he was technically, or he's really improved. I actually think it is a bit of both.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
