He showed what we can expect from our youngsters. Excellent ball control and positional sense.

Certainly had a better game than against United's U18s. Bet he's walking a couple of inches taller tonight

        Well done lad!!

That's an interesting point. He has looked very good at Academy/youth level, but he took it up a level tonight.

Disappointed Robinson didn't get 5 mins at the end though.

Excellent game.....played very well and didn't look at all out of place in a composed team performance.
Keep it up lad, you'll have more opportunities if you continue at that level.

Excellent debut. Really impressed with his all round game. That will be as easy as it gets though and I am sure Kenny will ensure he keeps his feet firmly on the ground.

No doubt helped by Carragher but he was brilliant. Assured touch, good positional sense, and an eye for a pass. Good lad.

Really impressed on how he never resorted to long balls, playing short passes to feet and a few good cross field passes. Can only come on from that game. Two natural full backs made such a difference today.

Flanagan's performance was very encouraging. He was calm, collected and used the ball well.

Well done lad. Hope it's the first of many appearances in the red shirt.

Some serious competition in that right back position now. Johnson, Kelly and now the mighty Flanagan
