IMO next season Johnson will be first choice RB and back up LB. Assuming we sign a left back in the summer I think the first team will contain two of Johnson, Kelly and the new left back whenever possible.Originally posted by Rudo View PostNo chance.
Kelly should be our first choice right back next season with Flanno as back up.
No place for Glen Johnson in this Liverpool team i'm afraid
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Flanno doesn't have the experience to potentially play a major role in such a big season as next year. He's only 18 and played 1 match. We need the 3 of them.Originally posted by Rudo View PostNo chance.

I'm so excited. And I just cant hide it. I'm about to loose control and I think I like it.

Glenn will be 1st choice next season with Kelly pushing him all the way for a start he'll also be 2nd choice LB as we'll certainly bring one in (Enrique looks likely) and Aurelio will either be moved on or he'll be on the treatment table as per.Originally posted by Rudo View PostNo chance.

So he's going to get experience of playing at the highest level stuck in the reserves for another season?(no disrespect)Originally posted by JBOX View PostFlanno doesn't have the experience to potentially play a major role in such a big season as next year. He played last night because he's highly regarded, of course injuries in defence played a part but there still wasn't many expecting Flanagan to start, but he did and he was strong and composed.
You can only hold potential back for so long, there's many a players that have made their name at 18/19, so why can't Flanagan?
Besides, he would probably only be a 2nd choice, but at the same time he'd be properly involved with the first team and ready to step in when required.
Opinions, opinions.

If Flanagan gets a run of games this season, he could well be back up for Johnson next season (presuming the left back slot is covered). It's absolutely crazy.
This dismissal of the international Glen Johnson, who was signed by Rafa for around £17m and was wanted by Ancelotti at the same price, in favour of a lad recently turned 18 is absolutely ludicrous
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Why anyone would want to sell Johnson is beyond me!! He's one of our biggest attacking threats, people are blinded by the "he can't defend" tag which is a load of BS, not the best but certainly improving and really good in the air which I think a lot forget!!
Add to that his attitude and it makes even less sense to want rid! The lad has openly came out and said he'll play anywhere for The King and adapted very well on the left side.Vive la France

IMO, the ONLY reason Flanagan played last night was injuries. I get the impression that the coaches intended for him to spend at least a few seasons in the reserves before stepping up to the first team.Originally posted by Rudo View PostSo he's going to get experience of playing at the highest level stuck in the reserves for another season?(no disrespect)

This is only his season in the reserves remember.
