He looked lost and void of confidence from the start, the first half we attacked well and put them under the kosh, but even so, he was poor then.

He shouldn't start. Kelly seems to handle the pressure better. Flanagan needs to be brought on for short periods when we're a couple of goals up.

I'm surprised that Kenny rates him above Kelly. Kelly is as good if not better defensively a offers far mre going forward.

Learning curve. Flanagan has got a good future, he made a few mistakes, one costly, you can work on that. He offers more than Kelly with the ball, but I think Kelly is the best option we have as a defender at RB. I think Johnson would have perhaps made the same mistake as Flanagan if he was there. Great finish by Larson, 9/10 times that goes over the stand. Still the team we had should have been able to atone for that mistake and score a second goal.

Flano has had a very poor pre season IMO and has taken this in to the start of teh league. He is very young and needs time but he is most definately not ready for the first team, and although he put in few good performances at end of last season, he is way off being ready. Kelly is a much better option at RB and can't see why Kenny didn't play him or at least being him on, unless Kelly was carrying.

One bad game and he's now not ready for the first team, got to laugh!

FFS, lay off the kid. He's had a bad game, all players have one.
                Are we winning?

I don't think he's ready for regular first team football, and that's not as a result today's game, I've said that all along, but he's able to play in some games. There is a big difference between the two, Insua is a classic example of a player who should have been eased into the team slowly, but was relied on too much after a few good performances, we don't want the same thing to happen to Flanagan or any of the other youngsters.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Not sure anyone is having a go, just confirming your own observation.
                      Oh I don't know.

people need to give the kid a break. he's only 18 but he looks very comfortable at this level. yes he got dragged too close to carra but larsson is an intelligent player. his first move was towards the centre which flano rightly followed but then larsson read the flight quicker and moved back out creating space for the shot.

the kid got done by a clever piece of movement. **** happens, if he's still making the same mistakes in other games then its something for the coaches to work on because these kids are a work in progress.

we whinge that there arent enough youth players coming through and then we dont show the lads any patience. i think weve got two very good options in kelly and flanagan for the RB slot.

Again, who is not giving him a break? Most comments are quite reasonable and realistic.

It wasn't just the goal we conceded. In the second half he gave the ball away almost every time he recieved it and the our whole ability to retain the ball seemed to disappear. He put us under pressure. He is young though but the first team is definitely too soon for him. Robinson is definitely a much better player of the two and is younger, but obviously he's a LB

Had a very good 1st half when he displayed all of his composure and good use of the ball. Mistakes are gonna happen and he will cost us goals at times, but I'm certain he'll make it with us in the long term. Felt a bit sorry for him yesterday though, it was a harsh lesson 2nd half.
