      Great for Flanagan, really pleased. You can see he is getting better & more confidence with every game he plays.

        A loan move to a decent side would do him wonders. Good for all concerned as we will no doubt strengthen in Jan & does him or us no favours being a permanent bench warmer.
        If management are smart, they'll have some LB targets in their sights but will hold off pulling the trigger for now. Flanno has done nothing on this recent run to tell us that he's not capable of playing consistently well at this level. The team has a good run of games over the next few weeks against a few choice sides that will really test him. If he comes through those with his reputation intact, there is no reason to ship him off and spend on a replacement. The best education he's going to get is playing in the first team, the Liverpool way, against premier league opponents.

        On the other hand, if he bottles it over the next few games then management should pull the trigger on a loan move for him and signing a replacement.

            @nineteen

            Bit harsh that. Chelsea and City away are probably the two hardest fixtures in the calendar, 95% of full backs in the league are going to come up short against them.

            With that in mind, I'm not sure that anything other than an abysmal display should be used as a marker for his future

              Not harsh at all. It goes to your definition of "reputation intact" and what expectations we have.

                He did remarkably well for a player that is not a natural LB.

                He stepped up when BR asked him and should get all the credit he deserves.

                It seems his confidence is on up so it will be interesting to see how that affects his next few games.

                  I thought Flanagan would be a disaster when he got recalled, I was wrong he hasn't put a foot wrong and is getting stronger with each game, remarkable turnaround especially considering he's a right back by trade

                      I didn't see it clearly but shortly before he was taken off, did he perform some outrageous skill to get past the opposition player?

                        he was superb today & makes so many runs up top to get in dangerous positions. Delighted for him.

                          Amazing to think our level dropped a little bit after he went off

                            Some of us said he was good going forward and for that should be ahead of Kelly and Wisdom.

                            Some of us were laughed at.

                            Flanno.
                            If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                              Were point 1 and point 2 related though?
