Does anyone know about how Robinson's doing at Blackpool or wherever he is?

he looks like he has seen the light. he has come back and done great. at worst he will be a decent covering utility player, but he could go on to secure a full back position all of his own. well done lad.

        Stay fit lad. Please.

One massive plus for me is how he's maintained his form post injury. You could argue that some average players go on a run of confidence only to return to their true level afterwards but Flanno is clearly a very good player as he's back to a good level now.

He's a good player, but I don't think he'll be first choice in Brendan's system, all things being equal. But he's improving all the time.
            Are we winning?

How so? And which bits would be equal?

Strange how things go in football - Almost 3 years ago the 18 year old Flanagan was thrust into the team by Dalglish because IIRC all our FB's were injured, he did well and was hailed as the next local lad who would be a future mainstay at LFC a la Gerrard and Carragher.
However within a year Jon was struggling badly and after the sending off against Blackburn in 2012 he disappeared from the first team almost completely and for the next 18 months he either played in the reserves or was on the physio table. He was written off by most and was considered to be deadwood who needed shipped out.
But only a couple of months ago he was again given a second chance due to injuries amongst our FB's and like in 2010 he looked a solid and reliable if unspectacular FB reminiscent of Steve Finnan IMO. He played a part in the impressive wins against West Ham, Norwich and Spurs even getting a memorable goal in that game.
After a month out he's back and I thought he looked solid again tonight, hope he can kick on and become a regular in the first team squad.

its early days but he looks stronger, both physically and mentally. he is only 21.

He looks right back to that level he showed on his debut v City. So composed on the ball and uses it really well, he's strong, he ****ing LOVES a crunching tackle. Fantastic to see this development. He probably needed that Blackburn horror show.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'd written him off unfairly. He's definitely proved me wrong. He's technically very good too, always seems to have a good first touch. Be delighted to keep him as a squad player, and on current form, a starter.

I'm surprised some people didnt rate him before. I've always thought he looked excellent, bar the odd off game. He's going to be an excellent player for us over the next few years. He's also one that looks like the only way he'd leave is if he was sold.

I used to think he looked plucky, gutsy, and hard working. A typical Scouser, but just lacking in quality for the level we need. Thankfully I'd either underestimated how good he was technically, or he's really improved. I actually think it is a bit of both.

He needs to work on his man strength. Got shoved off the ball too easily. I loved his pressing though, and always felt safe with him at right back.

He could prove to be a very valuable squad player to have.

Yup, I too maintained he was the best of our young full backs.

                              Flanno.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Great to see him do well, I think Rodgers had written him off at the start of the season when he gave Wisdom and Kelly the nod in front of him. Stumbled upon someone who can fill in both LB and RB confidently.
