Thanjk you.

I'm not sure Flanno would thrive as a wingback. If we do revert to a 4 next season it may not matter. Has he played CB before?
It would be interesting to see him tried as a wingback or one of a back three. I think he could do a job but you would have concerns about him in the air at CB and about his attacking play given how high up we like our wingbacks to play.
I actually think he would convert to wingback well if we actually decided to have a more asymmetric pattern looking to hold down one wing and attack the other.

Yeah it would be well worth seeing how he did. I think he stands more chance developing into playing in a back three than he does wingback. Not to say he isn't a good player to have to cover that position on either flank. It'll be interesting to see how he develops for us over the next 18 months.
Is he out of contract in the summer? I don't know how the injury will effect him in the future but strange we still haven't tied him down to a new deal

Yeah he is, he certainly should be offered a new contract, as he was looking promising last season, and even if the injury has had an effect and he isn't back to the same level we could still get a few million for him.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We have offered him a new deal.
He (or his advisors) want more money.
They've played the 'last scouser left in the squad' card to try and get a better deal
