Thanjk you.
Paul.S
Expires this year, but apparently he is demanding a stupidly high wage which we aren't prepared to pay him. Expect him to drop his demands when he realises Brendan isn't messing around otherwise he'll be at a mid-table team rather than Liverpool. Classic case of greedy player/money grabbing agent

I love that this is said like's it's a complete fact.
Because it is Chris, in as much as that is what I was told by someone (and there's enough who know privately who told me) and they got it direct from the club.
Kenny loved Flanagan and gave him (and Robinson) ridiculous contracts 4 years ago (in relation to what they had achieved) Go back to before last Christmas and it's on record that only one League 1 club came in for him on loan as his wages were too high.
No one wanted him, we had injures, he came in and did really well.
We have offered him a new deal, IRO his current contract but with bonuses for appearances and guaranteed basic pay increases triggered after x games played.
Flanagan or his agent want a bigger basic and they have thrown in the "He's the only scouser left" in to the negotiations as a tactic to get more money.
The reality and facts are that Flanagan has done nothing (yet), he played well in a very good team for 5-6 months.
Before that nothing for 2 years and a season long injury after it.
You'd like to think it's the agent but surely Flanagan can just say get it done, I want to sign so lets come to an agreement?
He's 22/23, sign a new 4 year deal, play well and get it renegotiated in 2 years time at 24/25.
He isn't leaving us to sign for Chelsea, City, Arsenal or Utd that's for sure, and if this was Wisdom not a scouser fans would be saying let him go anyway.

I don't get this part. I thought that the club still play his wages and I'm pretty sure Rodgers specifically said this in Flanagan's case when discussing why no clubs were interested in him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Hey???
So no clubs were interested in Flanagan because LFC were paying his wages??
Or are you agreeing with what Birdman is saying that only one club was prepared to loan him as they would be paying his wages which were too high by many others
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I'm saying that when Rodgers was discussing it, he mentioned that LFC will be paying the wages so he couldn't understand why no clubs were interested in him.
