I thought he did well today, seemed much more confident / comfortable on the ball than I remember him being and seemed to be talking quite a bit which we have been lacking a somewhat.

Solid game back considering the circumstance, he's a player to use in rotation with Clyne who has been overplayed this season out of necessity. He doesn't offer anything different though.

I don't think he's the answer long term, never really have. He's OK defensively, but if we want to have a top side then we need fullbacks who can offer a threat going forward as well. Full of heart and great to have in the squad, but we need a better first choice.

All things considered, he was my man of the match. We need passionate players like him in the squad at the moment. He treated it like a cup semi-final, and fought until he came off.

I disagree, I don't think we need world class full backs, he's a piano carrier and a very good one. Local lad too which I think is important.

Good in a tackle, passes positively, good positionally and knows when to move forward, back and when to foul to break up play.

Thought he whipped in a couple of quality crosses.

Obviously nobody was in there to attack the things, but still good delivery.

For a first up start after such a long layoff i thought he really looked solid. You know he's going to give you everything he's got. Great player to have in the squad

Flanagan can be such an important member of the squad, a fullback that can play equally as well on both sides is invaluable. Echo the calls of him and Clyne at fullbacks, could maybe try Moreno out as a winger then.
