But it's not just us as fans but certain players who where unsure about whether they should come up & say something never had to cross that bridge coz Rafa lifted the lid on it all and I can understand why they didn't but they dont seem to realise!!Originally posted by Shaggy View PostYep.
I honestly feel a great number of fans let him down, big time. Those Reds who hate him, and there are some on here and one in particular, won't give a **** about letting him down but this guy fought tooth and nail for us.
No-one liked the politics but I dread to think where we would be if Rafa hadn't said anything.
For that alone we owe Rafa a huge debt of gratitude.

Anyway rant over - it's my youngest daughters 2nd birthday happy thoughts!!!

It is an age thing, when you get to my age, all help is needed. :bird:Originally posted by Neil Young View PostI think many got frustrated and, like Gerrard, failed, for whatever reason, to see the bigger picture. Then there was the mantra that the manager takes the blame when things go wrong and seventh wasn't good enough for LFC etc. so he had to go. They were wrong, I feel, but not malicious. At least, many weren't, they were just misguided.
Of course not all of us needed hindsight.
Anyone who hated him though is simply a very poor judge of character, or worse. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

The last bid by Dubai wasn't from DIC. The £500m bid was from Dubai Holdings and had nothing at all to do with DIC. Dubai Holdings is like the Sheikhs personal play thing.Originally posted by Lecter View Post£250 million would not have given them a £100 million profit
They bought the club for £174 million plus £44 million debt
It was DIC that wanted LFC (The Sheikhs sovereign investment vehicle) the same DIC that only a year ago had to delay payment of a £800 million debt
So I think DIC / the Sheikh didnt have the finances to match NESV this time round
If the Sheikh still had wanted to buy us then money wouldn't stopped him doing it.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

its very convenient for us that Dubia would have answered our prayers, however its also possible they wouldnt.Originally posted by Arn View PostThe last bid by Dubai wasn't from DIC. For a man that clearly loves the club and put everything he possibly could into it the ill-treatment he received was disgusting. I always have and always will respect Rafa and hopefully one day he will be back, I would absolutely love it if he won the title with us. With the money hopefully being invested by FSG I think he could.
But that said, its in the past now and its all about moving forward. Its disgusting reading what those two ****ers did to our club, but we beat them at their own game and now the re-building process has begun. I hope they sit at home and watch Kenny and FSG take us back to the top while swearing into their rum glasses and regretting every second they ****ed with LFC

Apparently the second bid was not DIC, but from the Sheikh directly. I guess he wanted to put one over on the Abu Dhabi Sheikh who owns man ****ty.Originally posted by Lecter View Post£250 million would not have given them a £100 million profit

The £100m profit (each) was the difference on the second loan they got for £300m (I think - I may have just made that up though). Either way, its a huge enough profit. I think he either thought that they would pay any money, or he thought he could hold onto us until we could negociate our own tv deals (something I hope never happens). In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.
