I haven't said I've been put off him - I think he looks a really good young player. All I said was I think Robinson looks better!

I was just speaking in general really. Most posts I’ve picked up on recently aren’t exactly flattering, even if they aren’t saying anything bad. I’m just wondering why the sudden change of heart when he was highly praised for the reserves before making his excellent debut when people (myself included) were going a bit OTT about him.

I like Flanagan, I just think Robinson looks the more technically accomplished.

Plus I think Robinson will get more first team games than Flanagan which will help his development thanks to the lack of competition at Left Back.

Robinson looks better on the ball than Flanagan to me, but Flanagan is still a good prospect. If this rumoured loan move to Bolton is true I think it would be good for him (Flanagan) and us (assuming he gets game time of course).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I thought his composure and use of the ball was the most impressive thing Flanagan displayed last year for us. It was certainly an aspect of his game I didn’t notice when playing for the reserves. Probably very little between them at this early stage, but from what I’ve seen the only real advantage Robinson has over Flanagan is maybe a bit more pace.

Robinson is deceptively fast and strong too. But for ball skills Flanno has displayed more in the reserves and in the prem. I think Flanno was targeted in one game, got torn to pieces, and never had game time to recover. All part of learning and growing up. God knows we've seen Kelly have some sh*t games too which he's thankfully learned from.

for my mind Flanno has had one below average performance for us against Sunderland apart from that he'd filled in bloody well for us. Robinson when he's played has impressed me greatly last season when he kept Walcott in his pocket was damn impressive and as BC said he's deceptively quick.

Quite positive about the level of talent we've got pushing through the reserve and youth squads at the moment.
