    Liverpool vs Birmingham: Match Thread

Jack Robinson makes his first senior Liverpool start in today's Barclays Premier League clash with Birmingham City at Anfield - listen live from 2.55pm.

The teenage full-back is joined in the defensive four by Jamie Carragher, who has been passed fit after picking up a knock at Arsenal last week.

Maxi Rodriguez returns to the starting XI, but there is no Andy Carroll.

Liverpool: Reina, Robinson, Flanagan, Skrtel, Carragher, Maxi, Meireles, Lucas, Spearing, Kuyt, Suarez. Subs: Gulacsi, Cole, Kyrgiakos, Ngog, Poulsen, Shelvey, Coady.

It's good Carragher is in there to organise the defence and keep an eye on the two you fullbacks. Looking at the bench you can see we're down to the bones. Good to see Coady on there, but theres no one on the bench you would fancy to change the game if needed. The starting 11 has to do the business.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It's nice to see these two youngsters getting more first team experience as well as Coady and Shelvey because their the stars of the future

Yeah, that was certainly evident against City a few weeks ago, when in the first half we produced arguably our best attacking display of the season.

Rudo, sooner or later you always bite.

You have your favourites, its evident
Yet players you hate even if they play well, you still have a go regardless. Blinkers.
Raul and Johnson to name a few.
                      Typical.
