The Liverpool board in the last 20 years

Reading Dalglish's biography, he mentions that there were many occasions where he offered himself to the Liverpool job. Yet, they refused! They didn't want him back!

    Who were they???

With the exception of Rafa, they didn't do one single good thing in 20 years!

    Who mentioned wasted years!

And on a positive note - thank God and thank Henry & co. we have a bright future!

My Jury is still out on Henry and co, at the moment they have done nothing yet to suggest things will change much, apart from clearing the massive debt. I dont expect huge monies being spent this summer.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

For some strange reason I'm expecting Houllier to claim credit for signing him.

Yeah, apart from clearing the massive debt, getting rid of a ****est manager we've ever had, appointing a legend in his place, signing the wonder that is Luis Suarez, getting £50million for Torres, signing Andy Carroll, sending PFK out on loan, bringing in Damien Comolli to ensure we negotiate weil in these sorts of transfer deals, begining to make commercial deals which will maximise our global fan base, and doing it with a silence and decorum that befits a great club such as Liverppol FC .... what have Henry and co ever done for us...?

You need to have a word with your jury

I remember reading one such incident was before they appointed Souness, Kenny had quit a couple of months previously as he just needed time away from the game, but the board went with Souness - I'm not sure if they'd agreed a deal with Souness or what when this came about but this is the only time I recall this story coming up.

I'd guess the other occasions were when we changed managers?

But it could have been so much different...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Harsh on Ged, i'm far from a fan of him but he stopped the rot, dragged us back into football and put us back on the map with the 2001 treble

I'm not really sure what more they could have done to convince you in the short time they have been here tbh. They didnt have to spend the Torres money but they did.

They seem like real proffesionals albeit they are new to football. They never claimed to be anything they are not and they havn't made or broken any promises.

I personally would prefer success with the old Liverpool ethos and traditions instead of a billionaire arabs plaything.

And the way they are dealing with the whole stadium thing aswell, not rushing into anything, not making unrealistic statements just to buy some time with the fans is another reason they convince me.

Dalglish will be the permanant manager,of this I have no doubt but they are again taking there time and I'm sure when the time is right, they will make announcements.

They could be the best thing to happen to Liverpool FC in recent memory.
