Kenny got the job because the Club was in a desperate situation, at it's lowest point, if that wasn't the case maybe Kenny wouldn't have come back at all.

People should just be happy with what's happening now, hindsight's a wonderful thing isn't it.
Hodge was never good fit for LFC (steer the boat **** until new owners are in place crap) and in retrospect if you go back to original thread when Hodge was appointed, you'll see that peeps making the point about Hodge not been sacked earlier are the same ones who were not convinced that he was the right choice to begin with.

Sure in hindsight things are always 20/20 but you cannot say that some have not already predicted what disaster he'd turned out to be.

My point being poor performances rather than when the manager was sacked are more relevant as to why we aren't in the CL. For example I wouldnt have placed the West Ham away result in the same bracket as on the day they outfought and out played us and deserved the points.
      Quit your jibber jabber!!!

All this talk of hindsight is fine, but several people were saying it back then, without the need for hindsight.

And another point is that sacking the manager earlier and bringing in the right man sooner, would have yielded us more points - sure we lost at WHU but in 16 games, Kenny has won 10 and only lost 3. It's fair to say, had he been in sooner, he would have won us games sooner, and brought in more points than Hodgson did. The stats back up that viewpoint.

What point are they trying to make tho? do they want a pat on the back, a 'told you so' certificate or what?

When Roy was appointed LFC manager, maybe some people thought he was the right man, a lot thought he wasn't and some were sat on the fence but i don't see the point in going over old ground and wondering what if.

It's all in the past and we should all just be delighted about what's happening with the Club now, and look forward to some good times.

No one is crying. It's a discussion on an internet forum. Funnily enough the biggest tantrum in this thread is once again from you.

From the man who spends his days ripping Gerrard, Raul Meireles, Glen Johnson and criticising Kenny's team selections its pretty odd you're preaching about being happy.

And do you know what hindsight means? Its not hindsight to say he should have gone sooner, loads of us said it at the time. Infact, loads of us didnt even want the prick here in the first place.

Your quote is "Who's to say if Roy did a half decent job, that he still wouldn't be LFC manager now?" and my point was that bunch of posters here projected that he'll be horrible manager for us even before he got the job so it cannot come as suprise that he was a disaster and getting sucked was the likely outcome.

Sure "What If" is irrelevant now but it is also fair to acknowledge that some advocated Roy sacking much earlier than it happened and it is normal to try to envision what would have happened if FSG pulled the plug any earlier.

it's fair to acknowledge, but i really don't see the point in it. all it does is attempt to rub some people's nose in the fact that they were wrong about something long after the fact, and beyond when it might have been relevant. we aren't a company, we're an online community. our opinions really don't matter enough to be obsessed over.

back to the original point of the thread, i do feel good about being a strong advocate for our owners when the **** went down. i do enjoy being right when it also means we're doing well.
