pool night on thursday its a mare.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostWhats the big issue with us playing on Thursdays and Sundays, I don't understand it.
As far as I'm concerned its a yes, if it generates more revenue, gives more of the kids chance to shine and means we're on the tele more I'm all for it._____________________________________

I don't think it helps in the league at all, playing away in places like Latvia on a Thursday night then getting back to play on a Sunday afternoon. Its disruptive, has only minor financial benefits, and is in the end a competition that has been enormously devalued by a ludicrous format.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostWhats the big issue with us playing on Thursdays and Sundays, I don't understand it.
I'm totally ambivalent about this one. A few years ago, UEFA cup in its proper format, yeah, fine. Now.... well I really wouldn't shed a tear if we missed out.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I dunno, I just seem to think that we're not on tele enough nowerdays, and watching streams that die every two minutes will be the death of me. I just like watching us, even though I spend most of the time (especially this season) complaining about the way we play

Couldn't give a Karren Brady slap over it. Sure, added bonus. Quite honestly, mid-week channel 5 games, piss all time time to prepare for Sunday league games, with the added travel etc.
Load of crap. They need to sort the competition out before anyone takes it seriously.
I'd rather do domestic cups and league placing, than double up our season's games for this championship fair play cup.

Birmingham are on the same number of points as both Wigan and Blackpool (but above them on goal difference) so they need to at least match or better their results to stay up.Originally posted by SB View PostNeither are gimmes IMO. If Brum get a hiding they could go down on goal difference so they will be up for it. Hopefully Villa are on holidays alreadyThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Here is an article I wrote six weeks ago on this very subject
Would missing out on Europe Really be as Bad as it Sounds?
It is a No from me. Yes it is another trophy to aim for, but the biggest issue with the Europa League for me is the having to play our League games on a Sunday. We will be playing catch-up all the time.
I'd rather finish 6th and concentrate domestically next season. We haven't visited the New Wembley yet, so that is something we can aim for.
As for new players. if someone doesn't want to join us because we are not in the Europa League, then they are not the right kind of player for us.My LFC Blog - OH I AM A LIVERPUDLIAN

EL? Yes if KK only uses back up players and youngsters in the competition. Would be madness to risk key players, at least in the group stage.
Players like Reina, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Suarez, Kuyt, Carroll and Gerrard shouldn't play a single game until the knock-out stages.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

I just want to finish as High as possible. European football will attract better players no doubt. But on the flip side, if a player comes to us without European football, are they more committed to the long term plan.
To be honest the poll needs a 3rd option.
"Please just let this season be over!"*Except Michael, who died.
