in many ways its like Clarke is ast man. and Sammy is a coach?

Inevitable thread I think he is just a guy who spends time with the squad and is good for team morale and general team environmental stuff at training, i.e been at the club for ages and knows the ethos and whatever...

Be speaks fluent Spanish but that is just a bonus. He is a football coach and from what I can gather a very good one.

I've never been convinced he's a good enough assistant, and from the outside looking in it appears to me that he's moved from that role to a coaching role.

I think Kenny wanted a fresh pair of eyes with him when he came in and Clarke clearly fits the bill there.

That ended horrifically though... Lots of bitterness and mad paranoia. He was always onto a loser taking over from Big Sammy though, especially when he tried to change everything straight away.

Sammy Lee is a good coach. Not a manager though. He has proved it by being around so long. Even being in the England set up a few years ago. I was reading somewhere that he is the link between players and management. One of the lads sort of thing. He does all the fines and stuff too.

I think its important to have people like that at the club as it keeps "The Boot Room" mentality alive.
