Shame about the whimper out end to the season.
A good summer in the transfer market and we can look forward to a good, exciting season.

Had the last two results had happened earlier, mixed in with our recent series of good results, we wouldn't have had all of the 'we're going to challenge for the league next year' stuff. People would have accepted gradual but marked improvement. The order isn't that important really.

bit of a **** end to the season but we have achieved more than i thought we would after roy hodgson tried his best to ruin the club.
it should be obvious to everyone just what we need. If we dont go out and address our shortcomings then next season will probably be worse than this one.
The five or six players we need have to be bought and we need to get it done quickly. One centre back, a left back, two wide players (one of which has to be a first team starter / genuine winger), a central midfield player (possibly two - maybe someone like stuart downing who looks miles better than anybody weve got).

Felt like the change in style and high octane game we're developing, and have deployed since Jan, has caught up with us over the last two games. The players looked knackered today. The season has probably ended at just the right time for us.
Still, onwards and upwards. A few players and a bit more luck with injuries and we'll be battering our way to the top next year. Can't wait for silly season too
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.Comment

Anti-climactic end to the season.
Should at least help fans and the owners realise we've still a long way to go.
Agree with DJ though that it's not about a massive overhaul, if we get 4 new players who are of the right quality to fill the right roles, we could gain a lot of ground.Like blood on ironComment

We lost ELEVEN away games this season.Can't see that happenning again. Our home form in general has been good but we do need to hit the levels the scum do at home.
They've like 18 wins and 1draw at home this season. A couple of seasons ago they had like 17 wins 1 draw 1 lossPatience when teased often, transforms into rageComment

not a great end to the season but things could have been a lot worse than they ended up.
finishing 6th whilst playing top 4 football for most of the 2nd half of the season gives us something to work with going forwards.
Shame about Europe but perhaps it might be a blessing in disguise for next season as we need to get back into the top 4 now and sharpish - 2 seasons out of it far too long.Comment
