    Excited

The final day of the season has come and gone, we're just gone down 1 nil to villa with a slightly flat performance on the back of the home defeat to spurs. Utd had already won their record title and we're not in europe next year.

In seasons past I'd be fed up, angry even, depressed to ****, soarer than a loser that loses on a regular basis.

Yet I'm not, I'm in the kitchen drinking a glass of italian red, I'm relaxed, I'm happy, I'm excited and positive about this club for the first time in years.

Why? Well first and foremost step forward Mr Kenneth Dalglish. His attitude is what I love about Liverpool FC. Whether we win trophies or not next season, I know it's going to be a whole lot more enjoyable than at some points over the last 20 years. His hunger and desire has and will continue to inspire the players and fans.

Then we have owners that seem to keep out of the limelight. Let them just get on with stuff. They'll make mistakes along the way, but so far so good. They have to invest heavily this summer. It's a must otherwise the good work will be undone.

The young players that have played have been brilliant. I love it when we have some homegrown players coming through. Especially good ones. I think a lot of people can associate with them and they also tend to get the benefit of the doubt when they make the odd mistake. A british club needs some british players, it just feels right. We also have some exciting foreign lads that will hopefully continue to progress like Suso.

It feels like the start of the Beardsley Barnes Aldo era. Obviously it's hard now as we're competing with the likes of City and Chelsea but I think Kenny is strewd enough to get a few quality players in with the promise of games and his vision for the future.

Provided we sign quality players that can influence games rather than react to moments and we stay clear of serious injuries, the lack of european travel should mean we are much fresher than our rivals and come March time this should count in our favour.

What I do know is, that I'm summoning up and nailing to the mast all the remaining belief and hope that I have in body & spirit to the good ship LFC, that is being steered through treacherous waters by The King, should we fail I don't think I'll have the energy to continue. Long live Kenny and good luck LFC.

I wasn't bothered about today's game after the Spurs result, I was excited about what we would do in the summer, in a way I couldn't wait for the end of the season and the building of our squad to start.

I feel like now this season is over our future begins!!

Yip - i echo Bob's sentiments here...it's like a weight will have been lifted off our shoulders, we can finally get to build the squad as the King demands..

              ****in roll on August...

I'm gonna make a few bold predictions here.....

              1. we WILL win the Premiership next season.

              2. Suarez WILL be premiership player of the year

              3. Stevie G WILL stay injury free, and be back to 2007-2009 form. (have that ARN )

              4. Ryan Giggs WILL catch crabs.

this is like the beginning of a new sesh on football manager. in many ways, it's the best part of the game.

Can't get excited until we bring in the required players.

Early exits from the cup competitions, a spell in the relegation places and finally happy with a sixth place finish.

                              Awful, awful season.
