i'm a little bit apprehensive more than excited.

maybe thats more down to me being a bit of negative thinker, certainly with football, as i prefer to expect the worst and then anything better is a bonus rather than expect every to go great and then be left deflated.

Anyway - we need some top quality players, and they cost money, so it's all down to management to identify those players and the owners to stump up the cash.

it's so hard to know what to expect, cause one day we are linked with Juan Mata, the next day Matt Jarvis etc and in recent times we've had to make do with 2nd/3rd choice signings.

we need about 5 players - and we need quality over quantity - if we get it right, i'll then be excited
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

      Agreed.

And the slight worry that we might have replaced our dependence on two players by a dependence on one, and we might have a £35m striker that does not quite fit into the style of football we play. I am sure time will tell, but personally I think things are more on a knife's edge than the optimists think.

almost impossible to get excited until/unless we bring in at least 5 top quality players.

Im excited for the possibility's. Every Pre-Season I start off with the view that we can do good. I think this Pre-Season even more so.

Kenny will work with him and develop his game, and make him an all round better player.

Obviously glad the way the season was turned around and more than happy that Kenny is at the helm but I can't get excited just yet.

The coming transfer window is vital to whether we can get back up the sharp end of the premiership. There is no doubt we need to strenghthen by adding quality but that wont be easy. I expect there is a list of targets in ranking order but there's teams with more money than us with CL qualification to attract players. I can't see us finding enough young superstars in the making so we will need some established stars.

Also the top four elite teams seem to have become a top six, all vying for the coverted CL places, they all need signings this year. Chelsea need a new striker, apparently they bought a dud last year, Manure have stated they want at least 3 players to replace the ageing Gigolo and his chums, The Arse could be about to implode and rumour has it Fabregas, Bendtner, Van Persie could all go, Spurs need to add depth to their squad as they're going to be trolling around the backtreets of europe all winter, Citeh will buy anyone they want just because they can, If Ronaldo is a true story ...clucking bell. so it's going to be tough. Commoli has a lot of work to do and with any luck he's already done a lot of groundwork.

But I'm hopeful and positive but excited ? no not quite yet

I think we may be underwelmed by the first few signings as Dalglish will want the decent players who may be first teamers or squad fillers then go after the quality signings who will be in after the Copa America...So don't expect much in June, just the decent players...The quality ones like to take their time as they will have the pick of the bunch.
That's just the way it works!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!
