This is closer to the truth.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

I think kenny was planning ahead and he new that other than the CL any other distraction would weaken our league chances, he knows our squad is way to thin

Can't believe people think 1 Kenny would throw a game and 2 he would avoid a competition. People need to stop watching match of the day and listening to that cock called shearer, every player wants to play and every manager wants to win

I dont know about actually making a decision to throw the 2 games and then conveying that to the players but the way they played in both games its hardly like they were busting a gut to get in the Europa, despite all the public protestations that they wanted in.To go from the high of the fulham performance to the last 2 is quite strange

Of course. It's just like the way Rafa threw the European Champions League qualification in order to concentrate on the league the next season.
              Really?

Kenny is a very different animal to rafa mate. He would of hated the fact the scum r infront I'n terms of league titles, I think he'd rather put all efforts into addressing the balance IMHO

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I can see kenny sitting down with the owners and saying he needs to rebuild without the added **** of the eurodisney?????
I said the exact thing at work last night

Kenny wouldn't disgrace himself and the club by trying to avoid victory. And the players are far too professional to NOT want to to win every game. Give them some credit!!
I see it this way - if we are trying to attract top players this year, not all will demand CL football, but most will want/expect at least some kind of european competition. The other thing to consider is the reserves/youths. What better way to see if they are up to the job of premier league football than to see them competing in europe? This opportunity would have been ideal. Many youngsters have come and gone....not because they weren't good enough but because we couldn't tell if they were good enough without competitive games. And using league football or CL isn't the way to start experimenting, so Europa League football would have been perfect for the club this season.

OK then. So who are these youngsters and have they gone on to prove themselves elsewhere?

I just can't see kenny wanting to rebuild with the added agg of a second-rate cup competition.
He will have the harrowing words of his nemesis keeping him awake at night "I'm going to knock those scousers off there ****ing perch" and he will be transfixed I'n bringing the PL home .
                            Kennys priority is the league
