If he want to get back to his best then that is the key point. The last couple of years of his career have been destroyed because of **** owners that sold some of our best midfield players so we had to play Gerrard when he wasn't 100% fit to play.

It is also up to Gerrard himself to be man enough and tell the manager that he can't play if he isn't 100%. We all know that he love the club to bits but sometimes you must put what is best for yourself before what is best for the club. Not many times but situations like that will happen.

If he try and play when he isn't 100% then he will get injured again and again and again.

What I hope to see the coming season is Gerrard from the start in 30 PL games or so even if he would be fit to play in all 38 games. 30 high quality games instead of maybe 20 high quality games and 18 less good ones.

He need his rest and I hope that the fans understand that if King Kenny bench him even if he is fit to play.

We need our Captain back and he need a fair chance to show what he can do. A fair chance means a strong squad so he can get his rest when he need it and not get injured again.
I also think SG should retire from internationals to give himself a couple of top new years for the Club

I have posted that point many times but it probably didn't get noticed among all the other crap weird things in the posts.

      Very understandable.

As I said. The key point is to get as many high quality games as we can from our Captain. We should be able to rest him in 7-8 home games against teams we should beat without him.

We don't need him in every game. If we did that then the squad wouldn't be strong enough.

As also been mentioned many times. Gerrard need to quit the national team as soon as possible.

The owners have their responsibility, to build a strong squad. Gerrard also have his responsibility. To try and stay fit as much as possible and that means quitting the national team. In that case he must put what is best for the club before what he himself want.

I was joking, i've seen you mention it about thirty-eight million times. And it gets so tedious.

But thanks for mentioning it once again.

With the new signings and new playing method and finally some players at his level, I'd say he'll be player of the season.
