Not sure what you're getting at to be honest. But I go to a fair number of games and have been on a few forums and before Rodriguez had his little flurry of goals I never came across 1 person who thought he was worthy of a place in the team.

I apologise to anyone offended by my remarks about being myopic if you rated MR - I just can't "see" (see what I did there!) how we'd be any worse off without him as he brings zilch to the table.

What I have noticed this season past is that when Maxi has played the front four have looked a lot slicker with their passing abilities and movement & the attack have seemed to gel that bit better.

He's an argentinian - they're renowned for their one/two touch football. We need him more than he needs us. Surely you picked up on his game intelligence, how he makes space for himself and runs into space, whilst watching him?

Forget about Hodgson era look at him under KK, and tell me he's useless.

It wouldn't be right for him to go right now, but if we let him go then we'll have to deal with it...

Poulsen has played well a few times under dalglish too - should we be keeping him as well?

I'm judging Maxi on his time under benitez, roy AND dalglish. In my opinion, he's nowhere near good enough. Yes, his best performances came in the last 3 weeks of the season under KD, but that's a mere handful of positives in amongst a lot of anonymous displays.

However, I did go through the first dozen or so posts and saw no one signing his praises. The general consensus of opinion is that he's "ok". Not enough for me I'm afraid.

I also think you'll find the ones who didn't rate him are pretty predictable too and you could swap Maxi for most of our players who don't run fast.

Breaking news he only signed Jan 2010. I thought he fitted in very easlily under Rafa. Under Bodge I didn't see terribly much wrong with him either, considering I could only stomach watching half a game or ext highlights under the con artist Bodge.

Under KK he didn't get a look in for 2 months got the nod and off we go... How many other 'useless Lfc players' have we had who have scored two hatricks in the space of 3 matches? Yes some of them were tap ins but that's cos he can read the game and knows where to be.
Oh wait he only started scoring in his last 6 or so matches - so that enabled you to finally notice him....

Face it, you don't have a clue about good footballers. I watched him live at the WC in SA, and if he was good enough for Argentina, then he sure as hell is more than good enough for Lfc.

You've kind of highlighted my point by singleing out his recent goals as the basis for your argument. As I said, that's pretty much the only thing thing he has done since he came here.
Just because your idea of a good footballer is different to mine, there's no need for all this childish "you don't have a clue" crap.
