The club that he signs for, I thought it was the case for players moving on a Bosman under a certain age (24??)

We would have to offer the contract before his current one runs out, but I'm not sure when that is in his case (I think they are usually the end of June / start of July).

Soto has had his contract extended apparently.
      Are we winning?

Regardless of us offering a contract, once his current one does run out, he's then a free agent like those mentioned above.

I still think he's gone anyway whether we get a small fee or not.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

According to Wikipedia his contract expires on the 30th of June, so Iif I'm right we have two weeks to offer him a contract...

But any fee is better than no fee

That's an interesting one, to be honest I'm quite suprised at that.

I'd take Larsson as back up

It was automatic I believe, kicked in after he'd played a certain number of games last season.

I've also read that Insua is "retained" so perhaps his contract has more time to run on it than thought?!

Elmanders been released? Wasn't he Bolton's record signing or something?

He's gone on a free to Galatasaray.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I've certainly heard of this sort of thing applying in non-league football. Normally accompanied by complaints from the compensated team that the compensation is minimal. The compensation is paid by the team that signs the player as far as I'm aware.

Yep. They only wanted to give him a new contract after he found some form earlier this season. By which time he felt unloved and had better offers.

                              No

Can't remember where I saw it - a link off Twitter to some premier league report.

                                No worries.

Finding info on Insua recently is proving a tougher task than the American’s had finding Bin Laden.
