Gerrard is not a holding midfielder - he's at his best when playing in an advanced position.

Lucas has been one of our most consistant players over the last few years so I can't see a case for dropping him. And if we're assuming everyone is fit and ready to play in your starting line-up, then there's few better left-backs around than Aurelio.

I agree that it'd be good to fit both Kelly and Johnson into the same team. Not quite sure how it'll happen unless Kelly is given a run in the centre.

I'd be tempted to swap Gerrard and Suarez, Gerrard on the right and Suarez in the centre (or a free role) would get more our of the two of them than Suarez right and Gerrard centre IMO

When we are attacking certainly, I think when we are defending the two wide players will have some defensive responsibilities and I think Gerrard and Downing would be better at those than Suarez.

Not if you want our left back attacking a lot. Johnson stay back much more often when he play on the left. That means that we won't play to his strength. The attacking game.
