not disagreeing with that mate and credit where credit is due, more to the notion that he should be in our first 11 or that he "is a class player".

He'll have to do a hell of alot more to achieve either of those IMO, if an offer had of come in or does he's a goner & if not IMO he will a only a squaddie next season

Aquilani can play in the 'hole' behind the striker and offers a fantastic alternative to Stevie. Then, he can play deeper with Lucas doing the donkey work defensively. I think he should stay, he'll allow us to spend money elsewhere. I don't think Adams is gonna last full games as well. Lack of creativity and strength in depth has been a problem for us but if we can keep him, he'll provide competition and if he can adapt to the pace of the league, he's got the ability to be a regular for us, no doubt about it.

Imo once the season starts and some clubs players pick up an essien type injury, coupled with those clubs moving to replace recently snatched players, there will be a few offers for aqua if he's not already gone and he'll be on his way somewhere, might help fund a last min bargain cb if we can ship a few more out too.

When a player possesses that ability you mentioned, and he's fully match fit, then he can dictate play at his pace. If not, then it means the oppos are doing everything possible (double-teaming / man marking) to stop him. And if that's the case then the likes of Adam, Downing and Suarez will be enjoying all the space he's created just by being on the pitch.
