    I appreciate that you don't rate aquilani, but over 80% of us see enough in him to want him to stay. Especially when the alternative is a ****ing loan deal

    Its got **** ALL to do with me rating him or not

    The player is DESPERATE to leave

    He doesnt want to be here, the club dont want to keep an unhappy player

    I've shown the financial benefit of loaning him and that is what the club will be looking at

    Now maybe some of this 80% can show me the benefit of keeping a player who doesnt want to be here.

    Last summer the club made signings based on him being gone and again this summer they have strengthened that position, yet people believe that Aquilani (a player who doesnt want to be here or be part of the club) will be given a chance ahead of players bought as his replacement

      Hes always behaved in a respectful and professional manner with us. I see no reason to think he would do otherwise if he doesn't get this loan move. Hes not even put in a tranfer request from what I've read!
      Adam's form dipped after January that was plainly obvious

      Alonso DIDNT want to leave, Rafa wanted to sell him

      Aquilani does not want to live in the UK, he wants to be in Italy

      Hes not put in a transfer request because last season the club agreed to let him go back and this summer the club have agreed to let him go back provided we dont have to cover his wages (and get a fee if a loan) or compensate for loss of salary (if its permanent)

        Really disappointed that we may send him on loan again, but we have to look at the whole picture here. If we are desperate to get some more people off the wage bill, in order to bring in a centerback and a leftback, it makes sense after all. I guess Kenny sees him as one of the high earners that can be sacrificed for the greater good.

        Would prefer if we sold him myself, but not for £6 mill, then I'd rather loan him out

          Adam did suffer from a dip in form, but he had a strong finish to the season.

          Sure, Rafa wanted to sell him and subsequently Alonso wanted to go.

          I don't really follow your point as to why he hasn't put in a tranfer request? If he is THAT unhappy, surely that would help him get his wish.

            Of course it has something to do with you rating him. You're not at all bothered at the prospect of loaning him out. If you rated him as a player then you would feel different. Do you think anyone would give a **** if Poulson was loaned out?

            The benefits of keeping Aquilani?
            * He is extremely comfourtable on the ball
            * He's a great passer
            * Excellent technique
            * Capable of scoring goals
            * Links play extremely well
            * Creative
            * Adds a touch of flair to central midfield
            * Excellent at playing through balls
            * Great vision
            * Just had an injury free season, which suggests that he may have overcome his injury problems

            Balance his qualities against a 900k fee and the cost of his wages... it's a bad deal for us! At the end of the day, he's different to our other midfielders. He would add a lot of depth to our team, even if he's only offering competition.

            Even if Aquilani goes to Fiorentina, plays out of his skin, we can only recoup 9 million. It just makes no sense to me at all.

              So no deal then.
              Looks like he is staying, which isn't a bad thing. It's good to have options ,no?

                Well, Skysports reporting the deal has fallen through, no quotes though. Will be well pleased if true; result. Have a feeling he'll prove a lot of people something if he indeed does stay and gets a fair crack at the whip.

                  i think he hasnt put in a transfer request because of the money and the fact the club are willing to let him go.

                    You honestly believe that had Rafa not attempted to sell him, he would have turned Madrid down ?

                    I really really don't, and for me..that equates to wanting to leave.

                    I have no problem with that though, it's his home, and the biggest club in HIS country and maybe the world came calling, he was offski..regardless of anything else imo.

                          I'm glad the deal has fallen through.Now maybe we can try to find a way to include a very talented footballer into our team,it can't be that hard,surely!Appart from Gerrard and Lucas,he's the best of the rest of the midfielders imo.

                              aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh not more ****ing alonso - rafa chat!!!!!!!

                              aqua wants to go home. thats plainly obvious. he are willing to sell which is also plainly obvious. we have been trying to get the player the move he wants all summer but as no one is willing to do a fair deal with us he is stuck here. i rate him as a player and beleive he could have done a job for us. however, it is an enrique situation IMO where a last minute deal will be agreed (again IMO a cut price 7 mill or so) to take aqua to italy.

                                i dont know its an I think.

                                i am not sure either way i think he has a class about him but i have big doubts about him being able to produce in the Prem. IF he wants to go then it swings it to go even more.
