AC Milan declare interest in Liverpool FC's Alberto Aquilani
AC Milan have admitted that they could make a move for Alberto Aquilani.
The Liverpool midfielder's move to Fiorentina now looks ominous after he attempted to bargain for a permanent switch rather than another loan stint after spending last season with Juventus.
But defending Serie A champions Milan could offer the 27-year-old an escape from Anfield after vice president Adriano Galliani touted the former Roma man as a potential successor to Andrea Pirlo.
"We could talk about Aquilani," he said.
"He’s a midfielder with the characteristics that we are looking for so, like with other players in his role, he could be of interest."
