Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

8.5 mill is better than nothing I guess, it's disappointing considering how much he cost us but it's still a decent sum of money and it's also the wage bill further trimmed if you want to take the positives from it.
I like the lad, think he's a talented player however, if his desire is to leave then there's no point keeping an unhappy player at the club.
Hopefully we can move forward from here.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

I hope he does not go to Milan, although at that price we should be able to get Enrique in here, which is a huge need.
Instead, I hope he is brilliant for us to start the season and everyone here slagging him off on his injury-riddled performances from two years ago hangs their heads in shame for their stance on our player. Ok, he doesn't tackle, but he has been head and shoulders our best player in pre-season. "But he wants to leave", says no credible source and internet rumor as his agent tries to secure a payday for himself. I think he is perfectly suited to Kenny's style of pass and move and could be a real lynchpin for our offensive attack. But he's not "hard" so he's off for about 60% of his value.
That said, maybe he ends up in Milan and he wants to go. Either way, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth as the club, the player or our support seem to be missing the plot on this. £9M is not good business. Wish he'd stay and shove it up everyone's ass, but maybe he's just not that kind of player..."Our legacy begets an excellence that surpasses the particulars of who produces it." -- David Carr

TBH.....I wouldn't be playing him if he was going........one performance isn't gonna make a difference to the clubs interested, or the going price.
If it looks like he's staying, fair enough, give him some game time...............probably will be off at HT anyway, not having the greatest game anyway so far."I will make the boys feel your support"

I would have played him in the earlier games in preseason to put him in the shop window, but if we expect him to be leaving in our last preseason game I would be playing the players I would expect to play the players who we plan to use. As this is our last game before the start of the season I thjink this should be as close to the first 11 as possible.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
