I'n not scared by that, its pre season. it's about fitness right now and peaking in 3 to 4 weeks.

but they just stood there and let hull shove them around. i understand it's pre season, but not looking at all fussed is a problem for me. i don't even mind losing, just a little bit of a competitive streak is missing.

I don't wanna sound cliched but pre season is all about fitness and little else. This defeat is meaningless. Likewise if we'd won 12-0 it wouldn't be indicative of anything either.

Of course it's meaningless but I'm sure the players wanted to win. Not overly concerned but when Carroll has played since he's been brought in, I think we've been one dimensional.

We need a centre forward IMO, one who can offer a different alternative to Carroll. Ngog is a good player, he makes some good runs but he lacks confidence and I doubt he'll progress that much. We can't rely on Suarez.

Our whole season rests on Suarez being fit imo. He offers so much not just in creativity but in the intelligence and hunger to win he brings.

taken into context it was downing and hendersons first games they both shwed glimpses of what they will bring and once again Aquiliani showed when given time on the ball in a meaingless friendly he can look a class act.

We need a different type of striker cause Ngog cannot lead the line.

If we don't sign anyone, Flanagan should start at LB for us.

I don't think we need a CB. Ayala is a good player and we still have Wisdom. Carra, Soto & Agger should be fine. It's lowest on our priority list IMO, along with LB. We tried to sign Wickham which indicates that we're looking for an option upfront.

Suarez and Carroll will be very good together.

Kuyt is a quality back up for them.

I do agree that we may need another back up striker. We were in for Wickham but that didn't happen. Not sure it's an urgent need though, would rather wait for an opportunity or give a chance to Morgan down the line who's looking like he could develop into a quality striker.
