We were very lethargic. Definitely some defensive issues. Hull deserved their win, two good goals and their centre half Chester had a very good game.

But at the end of the day it was a pre-season game. FT 3-0.

Decent work, considering training just started this week for many of our best players today. Liverpool generally poor in the final thirds but encouraging signs from Aquilani, Henderson & Downing, Carroll seems to be improving... poor scoreline, fine run out and training session. Need time to build chemistry... what pre-season is for.

I'n not scared by that, its pre season. it's about fitness right now and peaking in 3 to 4 weeks.

Downing looked lively and very active, Andy was ok, Spearing solid and Flanagan was very good on the right in the second half

Aquilani was very decent along with Robinson in first 45 and that was it for me.

Anyone know why Agger is not in the squad ?

this. wilson has had a few mares since he joined as well. looks to have completely stalled in his development, possibly even regressed. if agger's not going to be fit, we need a cb before the season starts.

Still not sure about Carroll. We are lumping the ball too much when he's playing and he does seem sluggish, Ngog was much more dynamic than him with his runs.
