Suarez and Carroll will be very good together.

Kuyt is a quality back up for them.

I do agree that we may need another back up striker. We were in for Wickham but that didn't happen. Not sure it's an urgent need though, would rather wait for an opportunity or give a chance to Morgan down the line who's looking like he could develop into a quality striker.

I don't think we need a CB. Ayala is a good player and we still have Wisdom. Carra, Soto & Agger should be fine. It's lowest on our priority list IMO, along with LB. We tried to sign Wickham which indicates that we're looking for an option upfront.

Ayala is not good.

Carragher is good but not as good as he used to be.

Agger's an unreliable crock, even though I love his game.

Skrtel has too many weaknesses.

Kyrgiakos is not good enough.

We'll need to address it sooner or later.

I disagree. Agger is unreliable (didn't play again as precaution) and will get injured again. Carra is not getting any younger, Soto is liability and Skrtel is inconsistent. Ayala, Wilson, Wisdom are not players that will help us get into top 4.

We need to buy a first choice CB and slowly phase Carra out.

LB is a priority as well and for our sake we need to sort that out this summer.

We are taking too much risk to go with Aurelio (still not training), Insua and young Robinson (GJ is RB and it would be waste to use him on left)

With Downing on the left, Johnson's overlapping skills will be needed on the right, where we are going to play a more central player (Kuyt/Henderson)

DId you see the difference Agger made when he played last season ? massively important to get a ball playing CB i imo.

going into the season with A partnership of any of those mentioned above without Agger would have a negative effect on our team imo.

Some of you guys need to chill....It's pre season and the transfer window is still open....these games are about assesing the players to see who is good enough and who isn't..............I bet today Kenny got a better idea on the quality of his squad,or lack of than any of the other friendlies.If we stonked them 4-0,he'd be none the wiser.I'd rather we lose now than in 4 weeks time.

all we're doing is pointing out the shortcomings. it's also clearly evident that we need quality cbs who are going to be fit.
