not sure how many games weve got left but reina, johnson, agger, skrtel, gerrard, suarez and lucas have hardly kicked a ball between them and its the 28th july. were only 3 days from august and just over 2 weeks until the start of the season.

the ones that have played havent looked sharp enough. of the players with question marks over their futures only aquilani looks up for it. i think joe cole is finished as a footballer at any level and we need to pay him off and get him off the books and send him to the mls or somewhere.

today were missing reina, johnson, agger, carragher, skrtel, aurelio, henderson, adam, gerrard, lucas, downing, maxi, suarez. its a lot of talent to be missing but its not the way to prepare for one of the biggest seasons in ages.

Yes, it's a pre-season friendly. But quess what, it's just that to our opponents too.

No excuses for the first half performance, second was slightly better. Some (no names needed) players should never be allowed anywhere near the LFC-shirt.

Yet you lot sound as if our first team just got beat 3-0

We had that **** preseason 2 years ago and had an utterly woeful start to the campaign. People say preseason doesnt matter, but i'm afraid it does.

We need to be fielding a strong side for the remaining games and getting a couple of wins under our belts.

Exactly what I mentioned before. Yes it is pre season but we need our big players in these game getting a run out, at leas 50-60 mins.

I cannot understand the logic of leaving so many at home, bring them at least give them some kind of run out. Utterly baffling.

As I said previously we are very slow starters and this kind of prepartion will not help come the start of the season.

I think el matador summed things up pretty well, we ain't got a whole lot of time to get our act together. Add to that possible players in/out.

But we will be much wiser in 4 days time
