You worked that out on your first day here.Originally posted by flare View PostYeah good luck Quebekop it's a great thing you're doing for your son it's going to be a bit of an adventure for him I guess. Don't listen to these old codgers, they can be a bit suspicious of newbies
And less of the old codger bit hey! Neil deserves better than that
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Of course newbies are always seen with suspicion, and yes, I want tickets, but I don't think I'm one of thoseLike I said, a good friend who's been a member of est1892 for a long time told me about the site when I mentioned to him that the Norwich match was sold out.general internet peeps.
I'm an active LFC fan, a member of the Montreal branch of the official supporters club and I even wrote an LFC blog called Pool Drool a few years ago before realizing that I didn't have time because of work and kids and watching/playing footie. I'm just a fan who lives far away now and wants to make sure his son gets to watch at least one game at Anfield while it still exists.
As far as the tickets are concerned, I'm very tempted by the Boot Room pre-match hospitality package but, like I said, already spent a lot of money on memberships. There seem to be conflicting opinions about whether it's best to buy tickets two weeks prior to the game online or by phoning. Do I want to fork out thousands of dollars on plane tickets without knowing for sure that I can go the game? That's what I have to think about now.
So again, thanks for all the input! And it looks like a great forum without too much of the idiocy on the typical message boards.
Cheers,
John

Before I was able to get tickets myself on my fan card, my Ma used to phone the club with some obscene story as to why I couldn’t get a ticket and why going to the match was so important and it worked a treat.
I wouldn’t expect you to be as unscrupulous as her, but you could be creative with the truth, write off and play the sympathy card. Even pretend that you made the long trip before on the false promise that you’d get a ticket and ended up not getting to the game, so don’t want to make the same mistake twice.
Even when matches have sold out, the club has to keep spare tickets for emergencies, so I think you’d have a fair shot for Norwich. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Scroll to the very bottom of the official site and there's a 'contact us' link - via email.
The address used to be:
Liverpool Football Club
Anfield Road
Liverpool
L4 0TH
It might have changed to different offices in the city though. However, email is quickest anyway.
