      Ok, thought so.

Then I'll have to question Rafa's decision to award Traore a 4 year contract again...

Unlike Houllier, Evans and Souness, Rafa has been the ONE manager that has convinced me, in general, with his tactics and signings. Just this one strange decision has left me somewhat puzzled...

Anyways, hope the move materializes and wins himself a permanent deal with Charlton...

Good old Djimi. He always tried and lets not forget he was part of our European triumph. He did have some solid days for us but just isn't good enough to cut it regularly.

So you weren't at all puzzled by Pellegrino, Nunez, Josemi or his insistence that Morientes could play in the Premiership?

            Right.

                Right.
Anyone who was puzzled by the first three probably doesn't think very hard. Pellegrino taught our defense to zonal mark which helped everyone, he wasn't great in games but his presence allowed us to progress as a team over the season. Nunez was a makeweight in the Owen deal and played very few games but did an OK job holding up the ball on occasion, we sold him for a decent amount of money. Josemi came cheap and initially looked ideally suited, turned out he wasn't shipped out. I don't see what is puzzling in any of this. Rafa tried things which seemed sensible if they didn't work he got rid.

Morientes was a bit odd, but then no one else in the squad was doing anything either. He kept showing the odd flash of skill which made me think he was going to turn the corner, but never did.

On Pellegrino - he also allowed Sami to have a few games where he could rest. He was then ready for those vital CL matches. It all worked out great in the end!

I've put Brendan on my ignore list. Can't stand that prick anymore...I am tempted to argue my case, but we've been through this before at the old Koptalk.

Man, can't believe we let the prick in...

                      "Man"

****ing hell, you're a prissy bore on every single site you go on, clearly.

And I don't particularly remember you on KT.
I assume you were in my "fanclub" and went around crying and calling me "prick" there, too.

                        Right, this stops now.

Brendan seems to cop a lot of flak on here, this is not how we want est1892 to be, can you all please leave your past problems where they belong... in the past.
If you don't like Brendan, or anyone else for that matter, stick them on ignore!

Seeing as you are ignoring him I take it you didn't read what he wrote? Although I don't necessarily agree with what he said, "So you weren't at all puzzled by Pellegrino, Nunez, Josemi or his insistence that Morientes could play in the Premiership?" I really don't think it warranted name calling this time at all. Unnecessarily antagonising in my humble opinion mate and only ever going to illicit a response in kind. If you want to ignore him then why not do just that?

Brendan - All managers make buys that don't work out, the difference with Rafa compared to say, Houllier, is that he recognises his mistakes, gets the best he can out of the player until the season ends, then ships them out. Oh, and we don't tend to take a huge loss on them either. I have to say I wasn't particularly puzzled by any of them apart from Moro, and I don't really think we had many other options at the time. The proof of what Rafa actually thought of him was shown when he was out the door shortly after the last kick of the season.

Edit - Damn that was quick Paul. Atleast we're saying the same thing, just mine's more long winded

I've done exactly that, and you can be sure I will be talking about Brendan no more.

                            Thanks.

                                MrMichael,

First, I have put him on ignore, so there won't any problems from now on.

As for whether his response warranted name calling, that response in itself did not. I agree with you.

But you have failed to see the BIG PICTURE. Brendan recognizes me, you see, from my days at Koptalk and we had some disagreements over there. Ever since I joined est1892, he has been picking on my posts, and ridiculing me in that typically annoying way of his. He obviously wants to start another one of his slanging matches but I have ignored him every time he followed on from my posts. That was the last straw for me, and thats why I've put him on my ignore list instead of just "ignoring him" per se.

Seriously, if you had any idea what I had gone through with that p*ick, you will understand a bit better.

                                Anyways, enough of Brendan.
