That's the key for me too. Anyone who gets dropped after 1 50/50 performance last week will feel aggrieved and rightly so. No-one last week was "THAT" bad IMO. 1st half we should have been up by 3 goals and would have coasted to victory so if we take our chances at the arse we'll be fine.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Rewind back say 12 months and did you think you'd ever mutter those wordsOriginally posted by Maxiedge View PostI would play Spearing with Lucas for this one. In fact, I think we're a much better outfit with Spearing in the side. Busy little player.
Not many would have IMO

What's the point in building a strong squad if you're afraid to drop someone, especially after a poor performance/result from the team?Originally posted by SB View PostThat's the key for me too. my only fear is that with such a big squad we may revert to rafa benitez style and change the line up regrdless of performance every game. took rafa 100 games to keep the same league line up 2 games in a row. i know sometimes this was inevitably due to injury etc... but on occassion it was after a good winning performance and IMO unnesessary.
i hope that isnt the case with kenny. yes i want to see a team put out on the pitch set up for the specific opposition but i also beleive that form will improve the longer a same 11 play together.
familiarity builds understanding which in turn would lead to improvement and ultimately success.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Arsenal site match preview
Liverpool are up tomorrow. Kenny Dalglish knows how to spend money, he’s a good manager as well. He looks at a players talent, he doesn’t worry about the price. Why would he? He’s a football manager. Leave the finances to the finance guy…
We’ve got a tough challenge. For the first time in a while, this is a Liverpool team with some bite. Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez are a strike force that combine height and tenacity perfectly. Stuart Downing, despite the micky taking is widely regarded as the better buy compared with Young (I know this because the Villa fan that sits next to me at work speaks for all Villa fans in the universe). Connor Henderson will snap away at our heals all afternoon. Charlie Adam is dangerous from set plays and he’s not a bad passer.
Our best chance is to take advantage of their weakness at the back. Carragher is slow and erratic at times and their back 5 looks far from settled.
Arsenal are without Gervinho, Song, Gibbs, Cesc, Nasri, Bendtner, Eboue and JD. That means a chance for Frimpong and possibly a rumoured outing for Ryo Miyachi… surely not? Traore will slip in at left back, which should be fun. He has all the ingredients to be a great player, bar a brain.
We have to pick up the pace of our play. Too often we allow the opposition dictate pace. We need to show urgency and play with the intensity United and Chelsea did at the weekend. I want to see that the result matters to the boys. I want to see a bit of passion. I want to see someone emerge as a leader.
Bringing Frimpong into the fold will help, he’s a driving force. He’s sloppy at times, but so was Flamini. His energy puts teams onto the back foot. It forces mistakes. It allows us to break at speed.
I’m confident we’ll win tomorrow… that might be last nights booze still coursing through my veins, but regardless. Tomorrow could be a grand day. Today’s was a post brought to you with an immense hangover. Apologies if it had the energy of a Pat Rice team talk.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Have a good one mate, and I do so hope that you are a lucky charm.Originally posted by memzey View PostAm going to this and I can't wait! Last time I saw us at Arsenal was the 0-1 Titi Camara game. I was in the North Bank with the gooners and nearly got lynched! Hopefully I'm a lucky charm and we win this one as well.

Reliable news source ? Don't think soDefender Glen Johnson is the only injury doubt for Liverpool's trip to Arsenal on Saturday.
The England defender missed last week's opening match with a hamstring injury and manager Kenny Dalglish rates him as his only doubt for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.
Dalglish may opt to make changes with Martin Kelly and Dirk Kuyt pushing for starting places.
Teams:
Liverpool (from): Reina, Kelly, Carragher Agger, Enrique, Adam, Lucas, Kuyt, Suarez, Downing, Carroll, Doni, Flanagan, Skrtel, Henderson, Meireles, Spearing, Ngog, Robinson, Aurelio, Rodriguez.
I wonder if that was supposed to be Aquilani as I just noticed he'd not included in that lot ?Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Who the hell is Connor HendersonOriginally posted by SB View Post
He's obviously made a big impression south of the Watford Gap anyway whoever he isWe managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
