To get a better picture of their squad, bold were starters against Newcastle, italics were on the bench. If Nasri and Wilshere miss out, I think we have great chance to hand them a thumping. Maybe we should offer them Poulsen and Cole on a season long loan?
Eh, is Lehmann still there? I thought his move last season was only for a month or two?!

It's from the BBC, maybe he'll play midfield.

According to his wikipedia page he retired again at the end of last season
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Any idea when any red card appeal for Gervinho would take place? Talk Wenger will appeal to get him into or game on a punt. The extra game will cost him a Carling Cup game so they aren't arsed if it becomes a 4 game ban.

At 1-0 on Saturday this exact thought crossed my mind that we'd be putting ourselves under serious pressure if we didn't get our deserved second as I had a feeling Sunderland would make us pay.

I don't know if it's because I have no choice now but to be optimistic, but I really do expect us to perform against Arsenal now and get the 3 points.

Means little coming from me, but I have a feeling Kenny always had Kuyt earmarked for this game, regardless of how Henderson played against Sunderland. I just hope it isn't Suarez that makes way for him.

I think you massively underrating a lot of that team, it is a far better team than Sunderland's.

Something along those lines? Wilshere in CM if fit.
                  That's one ****ty lineup.

They don't have any good midfielders left and they may be forced to play with 3 CBs and Rosicky.

I don't like this 4-4-2 for us, primarily because I don't see Adam getting forward enough to link play between Lucas and the forwards through the middle of the park. We need a CAM; Aquilani fits the bill, but Lucas is not strong enough as a DM to play the Mascherano role in front of the back 4, especially with Aqua, who won't do anything in terms of midfield steel. That said, I don't see a lot of tough tackles coming from Arsenal either...

It just reminds you how special Gerrard is...

In the last 25 minutes this past weekend, we struggled to maintain possession and a threat through the middle. The proposed lineup echoes that set-up and I do not like that at all... My main worry is having Downing drift center as he is by far at his best tied to the left touchline. Carroll needs to play better with his back to goal and lay off for someone/ more than one player to attack the box.

I trust Kenny, but I just think a 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1) with someone in the hole is ideal for us.

I hope we have Aquilani on the bench to come on at some point if things are going poor because I think he is one of our more creative players for unlocking a defence.

I think it is still a strong line-up personally. I think ours is better though and we will be able to exploit their defensive frailty's even more than usual.

How good is Koscienly in the air? You'd imagine Carroll should easily have the beating of Vermaelen aerially. Think they'll miss Djourou against us who I actually think is a decent player.

If RVP plays like he did on Saturday, we really should be expecting to win comfortably.

Song has been charged so he should be out without question, 3 game ban, Wenger said they wouldn't appeal that one

The Gervinho sending off is being appealed, I think this should be heard before Saturday, thrown out and increased for being a waste of everyones time

                              Is he injured?

Koscienly is better than De Gea but I guess that doesn't mean much does it
