I suppose if he got shouted at for not going with the runner, he can always say "I didnt see it"

Think I'd be physically sick if we lose to these, they look so poor.

Suppose you cant rule out a big performance from them, we've seen plenty from us over the years where we've pulled one out despite missing players (like without Torres and Gerrard v Man Utd) but dont think they have the mentality or home support for that.

They look like they're on the verge of a meltdown, **** knows how theyve got in to this situation, its not like they have a Hicks and Gillett there. Hopefully we land the knockout blow but it'd be just our style to give them a short term boost and then Man Utd hammer them the next week in the way we should have.

        So 1-0 Arsenal tonight then.

Suppose that's a good result for us. It means Arsenal will need to have one eye on next Wednesday, but they should still really progress (meaning they have Champions League games to distract them in the league)

Oh and Gibbs and Djourou both got hamstring injuries.

There'll never be a better time to play them. A must win already.

They've won 1-0 but struggled. I'm pleased with that.

I think the worse thing that could happen for us would be for them to fail to qualify for the CL. Firstly it will remove a distraction for them up to Christmas and secondly it would damage the EPL co-efficient making it harder for us when we get back in.

If they lose the Udinese tie, they'll drop into the Europa League.

Yeah but they'll mostly play their reserves in that.

I'd like them to get through the the knockout stages and get schooled by Barca again.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

idc if we win 0,00001:0, a win will be a win

Van Persie will play and so too could Nasri and Wilshere.

It will be a tough game.

Wilshere's leg was apparently still in a cast tonight, according to Shagger.

Van Persie will be back and that Japanese wonderkid has got a work permit so he may play too. I hope we go for it though as they are vulnerable defensively.

Lets hope they don't make any signings before the weekend.

I bet Man City were just waiting for Nasri to complete his European ban before making their next move. Plus with support like this:

I don't think they'll want to see him playing

They have Man U the following weekend. We have Bolton. I've the feeling this is gonna be a shoot out for 4th with them. Things go well we could steal a march on them.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Yep, got a real chance here, they're obviously going to lose at Old Trafford so theres a chance to have a 6 point gap early on. And im not sure they have the fight or spirit to recover from setbacks like that.

Spurs will be a threat too but I think we're better than them anyway.

I agree about Arsenal's lack of fight/spirit, but a 6 point gap with 3 games played isnt really the kind of defecit that is so difficult to overturn.
