    Arsenal v Liverpool Match Thread

Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Agger, Carragher, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Kuyt. Subs: Doni, Flanagan, Skrtel, Meireles, Spearing, Suarez, Maxi.

Team to play Liverpool: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Ramsey, Nasri, Arshavin, Walcott, Van Persie

Think Arsenal teams looks stronger particular in the creativity department. Gonna be a tough match.

With Suarez on the bench and Aquilani not even travelling it almost seems we are content with a tie.

      Lucas, Henderson & Adam.

Remember when we had Alonso, Gerrard and Masherano.

We need to dominate Ramsey and this Pingpong lad in the center of the park.

Their line up seems a lot better than I thought it would be.

Prepare yourself for lot of defending from us.

They will be taking the game to us rather then the other way around.

We have a really strong bench, what a difference from last years. Hopefully we can control the game in the first half with what looks like 5 in midfield, and then change things in the second half as the Arse players are tiring. They played midweek, so that should count in favor of us in the second half. Still, bit of a gamble from Kenny, he will be criticized if it doesn't work.

Sure do. We didn't win a single thing with them.

Our line up is what i would call solid. Whether it's inventive enough to create chances well that will depend on how well Adam & Downing play IMO.

A lot of pessimism oh here.

                  I think we’ll duff them.

                  Come on Dirk.

Why is Suarez on the bench?

                    He needs match fitness.

Definitely set up not to lose initially, rather than to win.

Arsenal are ripe for the taking, I'm a bit disappointed with our line up but I have full faith in Kenny, he knows best.

That's precisely my problem with the lineup.

yeah what a trio that was... best in the world for 2 or 3 seasons. nobody plays forever and i dont think this midfield trio is a work in progress in that i dont think that this is it. it took a lot of time before gerrard alonso mascherano axis was formed and im sure it will be at least another season and possibly a couple of new signings before we see the final version.

back to todays game, surprised that aquilani hasnt made it onto the bench because suarez apart we dont have anything else of any distinction. its a shame that kenny has chosen to sideline him but thats his decision to make and he will be judged by that.

we are going for a much more solid base rather than looking to take the game to arsenal. im ok with kelly coming back in and for us downing vs jenkinson will be crucial because if he can get the beating of jenkinson then we may have a chance.

arsenal are in turmoil and i have no doubt that next week utd will turn them over big style. really we need to be going for all points here.

Did we not say similar when we seen some of Kenny's team sheets last year, like when we lined up with 5 at the back and all ended up looking like fools?

Yawn. No one is claiming to know better than Kenny.

We're just discussing what is a sligtly surprising line up. No harm in that. It's pretty much what this forum is for

                              I still think we'll win
