It was the addition of Suarez and Meireles that made the difference though, they gave us a genuine attacking edge and turned a draw into a win.

I think our first choice front pair will be Gerrard and Suarez when both fit. Carroll will have a fight on his hands.

I actually thought Henderson was OK today, loads of room for improvement and I'd start Meireles in the next game and bench Henderson but there is something about him, just needs to be a bit more brave and attack the goal more.

Henderson's a good little player, not the finished article but I can see why he is in the team.

Henderson should be the understudy to Meireles. Great little cameo from him today.

Henderson was excellent today, always moving the ball forward and energetic. Looks a real player to me.

Ngog not being on the bench clearly indicates to me that he is on the way out and with Bolton being seriously interested I'd like to see Cahill coming this way.

We need to move fast though as Arsenal and/or MCFC could conclude that piece of business before us.

He probably is! But that's not saying much is it. We have a serious lack of pace in the team.

I don't think Henderson was excellent today. Don't get me wrong he wasn't bad but I thought it was a tidy performance where he worked hard. I thought he struggled to impose himself at times. In possession when he tried to do that little bit extra I thought he was found wanting. I don't mind that from a younger player. As I said before though I don't know a whole lot about him so I'll have to see how he gets on after a few games before I say anything drastic on the matter.
