i think the fact that, that was not arsenal as we have known them plays some part in it.

i didnt think we looked great. Or that it was a great performance. What we did do is get three points for the first time in 11 years against what was an ordinary looking arsenal.

also they went down to 10 men.

on the other side. we are a team that is building and bedding players in. So happy with the points. There is still lots to work on but i reckon thats what we will be doing on the training ground.

I doubt we'll be releasing many DVD's of the match or telling our grandkids about it in years to come, but what it was was a very professional away performance with Kenny getting the tactics spot on IMO.

I thought we played well.

I know this is a forum and without discussion would be rendered pointess but how anyone can be in anyway negative about yesterday is beyond me.

Its seriously weird. Nearly as weird as the dickheads complaining when we'd just won the Derby at Goodison Park in the last minute "But you cant sub Gerrard, it's a disgrace!!"

It was a very good performance, and i'd like to know what constitutes a 'great performance' away at Arsenal? Would be a 0-3 win? 0-4? Who has produced a 'great performance' at Arsenal recently?

Plus, we started without Gerrard, Suarez, Meireles and Johnson.

One thing jumps out to me. Carroll played for most of the game yet AFC played more long balls that LFC.

We did well but the stats have to be considered in context.

They didn't have Wilshere, Diaby, Song and Gervinho so their stats at home vs other clubs should be much better.

Corners is another interesting one, nearly double ours. As always Reina's punching gets overlooked, I remember him clearing any hint of danger at least twice. I haven't gotten over Westerweld/James days I'm afraid and I still have nightmares when we concede them.
