Are we good enough to get into top 4 with our current squad if Stevie doesn't perform this year as it may be expected?

And what if Suarez get injured? What then?

We are stronger than the last year but are we strong enough?
I agree 100%. We need a game changer / match winner other than Luis IMO. Whether it's another striker or an attacking midfield type player is open for discussion but I fear that if Luis is out we'll struggle big time to break teams down. I more player is all I want and then we'll have to call on the younger boys when needed.

**** we have had a good transfer window I almost feel like we are getting selfish expecting more players having already started a game with 6 players who have been at the club less than a year!

        Keep them coming in nonetheless!

I'm happy too but new owners usually spend the cash early days and then sit back and become a bit more stingy in time. Now's the time to get the chq book out and make a statement IMO.

            Henderson ---- Suarez --- Downing

The only question might over Kuyt in for Henderson, but I cant see Kenny dropping him a the moment.

Things look quite different this time around, don't they?
Forward line looks pretty decent in all fairness, Kenny could've made that work

Just one noticeable flaw in that plan. A red hot branding iron couldn't make that work

Liverpool's goal difference is currently +2. Last season they had to wait until February 2 for it to be two goals in credit for the first time.

Was just about to post that

Few other points, Hodgson was awful:

A victory will give Liverpool seven points from the opening three games and equal their best Premiership start for 17 years.

Last season Liverpool only hit the seven point mark in their ninth fixture of the campaign.

Luis Suarez is hoping to become the first Liverpool player to score in the opening three games of a league season since Robbie Fowler in 1993-94.

Also took us NINE GAMES to reach 7 points last season, a total we could and should reach tomorrow.

edit - weatherman beat me to it.

Reckon the press picks up on that? Or are they too busy praising Wenger for switching to zonal marking

It just shows how bad the Bodge was

I remember calling for his head around the Sunderland game and screaming after the Blackpool game. Remember Northampton was sandwiched in there as well

****ing hell, we were terrible. Worse than terrible.

Interesting stat about equalling our best PL start in 17 years - I was wondering about this yesterday as we're always slow starters.

I'm still gutted about drawing against Sunderland. Really pissed off with that result.
