Was watching Goals Goals Goals on LFC channel the other day and they had about 10mins of non-stop goals from the 2008-09 season. Just brought it all back for me, what a great team we had and Torres was the icing on the cake. Some incredible goals.

I love Luis and am sure if we built a better team around him he would do even better, but Torres is the first player we signed in many many years that just had me on the edge of my seat and was an absolute joy to watch him in tandem with Gerrard.
I can understand why you feel that, loved Torres and Gerrard.

But it's still Suarez for me. He's amazing. I honestly think he's our best signed player since John Barnes.
But it is Suarez for me too, I honestly think he is a better player but he also brings so much passion and enthusiasm.

Torres also had the luxury of playing with the best midfield I've seen in the Premiership as well, Mascher - Xabi and Gerrard in his prime.
        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I still prefer the LFC Torres of his peak, to the Suarez of today. Sure its got closer, but Torres was better imo.
          Oh I don't know.

Suarez has so much more to his game - not only does he score prolifically, he creates, and even when not scoring he never gives the opposition a moment's peace.

But Shaggy, why the need to choose between them? I think the idea was to have them play together. Would you rather have one or the other?
              Are we winning?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Because it's just a bit of pub talk, and they *didn't* play together regardless of what the idea was. Just interesting to see who people prefer, that's all. It's pointless and meaningless but then so is 99% of stuff on forums.

That video was great. It's the kind of halftime entertainment we should have at Anfield. Wah! is all very well but...

They don't have pubs where Nigey comes from.

                          But then. Oh. Forget it.

I still find it a difficult question now.

I associate Torres with a winning team, fighting on several fronts and scoring goals galore. He made me feel like a youff falling in love with the game all over again and I guess, the way Torres left made me question that love as well as making it difficult to accept the 'next guy'. So when I think of Torres, I think of a variety of goals - none similar - during a spell that made me think we could win the league, so by default, he's always thought of during pleasant times.

Then Suarez arrived. I don't think he's immediately likeable and you can't help looking back at his historic incidents as brain ninjas - little snippets that are forgotten about, until something happens and it all comes flooding back. But then you start to experience his clear passion for the game, his desire to win and his tremendous ability with a football. I mean, the lad could turn on the proverbial sixpence. He creates his own opportunities and has carried our side for the first half of the season.

Yes, he's a nutter. But he's *our* nutter and I think I've talked myself into making my mind up.

                                Suarez.
