i think people who write stuff like this seem to forget is that they can easily go to Anfield 25-30 times a season.

Actually, posts on this subject make me laugh. I've been going to Anfield since 1965 and there were similar debates going on then. Don't give people who stand up and try get songs going condescending and disinterested looks, join in (Unless of course they are singing the above, or any other small time chants.) I could go on and on... lets just begin by reeducating people about the Liverpool Way.

People never - but never - joined in chanting away from the Kop in those days, with the exception of short-lived activity at the Anfield Road end, which was largely allied to rying to bait opposition fans in pre-segregation, hooligan-infested days. Anyone trying to join in chants in the stands would have been considered extremely strange. It was also the norm for many fans to leave early - the Kemlyn Road stand denizens being the prime cuprits back then
So I can confidently predict that if fans' forums/fora still exist in 20 years time, we'll be having the same debate and this will be looked back on as a golden age in which to be a fan, when we gave proper support.Comment

I agree with some of what he says in regard to getting back to traditions but some people just can't get over as often as people who live in England.
So what,they get a bit excited and take picture,blow it out your ****ing arse.
Cause thats where the club with be without all the OOT's on it's arse!!
I get over once mabye twice a season if I'm lucky, between flights,accomadtion and the conversion rate from euro magic beans to sterling it costs a ****ing mint.
Personally I don't take photos,but i did my 1st time and I not gonna listen to some **** rant on that someone who spends an arm and a leg to get to see their beloved reds is ruining it for all the locals because of a few ****ing photos!

I take photos every time i go, also loose my voice every time i go from shouting. How can we expect every supporter to be at the same high level that the vast majority are, we cant.
Its also a different set of circumstances to when Shankly was about, when people had nothing better to do and lived for the match.

That post is superb!
The leaflet campaign is a great example too.
But the worst offence for me is being in the Kop and not singing. The phones and the cameras annoys the hell out of me, as does two tossers sat behind you talking about work and stock orders and deadlines and ****e while I'm trying to focus on the match.
But the worst offence is to sit in the Kop and keep yer gob shut.
We're outsung most weeks by a couple of hundred tossers who then sing "worst support we've ever seen".
