Chris's mates g/f came with us once and sat by me and Chris. She painted her nails throughout. The same girl also didn't know there was 2 halves. She wasn't given a ticket again!

I agree with the sentiment but are we really going to start having a go at each other for not chanting the correct songs at matches. When the seats were taking out a lot off the atmosphere went. Also Liverpool is more accessible to ooters like myself now. Ryanair Easijet and the rest have made Liverpool a city that is very much a prime destination for the weekend. It used to take me 18 hours to get to Liverpool now it takes 4 from my town to the city center. People tend to come over for the experience off "supporting Liverpool," rater than actually "supporting Liverpool."
Did you see the size off those chickens?

Well this is my point. Surely what was so offensive was that the match took second place for her than other things.

That's what bugs me about the non-match narrators who rabbit on about all sorts as if a game aint even on.

They're the vocal equivalent of the nail painters.

            Ok , simple solution(maybe)
New stadium, both ends, no roof, standing only would be nice.
No food on sale, why can't people survive for 2 hours without eating???There are shops, cafes, etc in Liverpool, eat before the match

            Then the atmosphere would change

(Waits for the inevitable slating )

I grew up standing on terraces in the rain and cold, the only people who went were those who wanted to sing and shout, you don't do your nails or chat on your mobile when it is pissing down

I would love a new ground with NO corporate boxes, but terraces with no rooves at both ends
I don't think football grounds should be theatres

A totally unrealistic suggestion I know

If the original post was indeed about some Kopites not singing etc then I agree. The fact that alot of people think it was anti OOT proves he didn't argue his point very well.I'm from Dublin, sit in the Anny road once or twice a season and I take a shed load of photos before the match. When its on I focus on the game and shout my bollix off. There are many people throughout the stadium, scousers included, who shouldnt be let within ten miles of a ticket but that will happen when a club has such large support. They can support on TV,buy merchandise etc but should never get into the stadium unless they will play their part and support the team.Alot of what goes on annoys the **** out of me too,I hate easy, easy songs and singing about teams were not playing.I live for the game,I spend a right few quid getting to it and I'll be as vocal as I can be because I didn't go just to just sit there.

On his final point,I have to agree in part as any self respecting LFC fan should know their history, especially about emotive things like the S*n

And lets face it,all Dubliners know people from Cork are pricks!

Take season tickets off businesses/groups and give them back to individuals.

Also, Id consider doing away with seat numbers. Get people in and fill the ground as they come in. This allows people to sit with their mates. I think its that more than anything which has killed off siniging. No one is gonna start a chant on thier own but they will if they are sat with their 10 mates.

Yes true, but if not enough are singing a roof doesn't do a lot

                              Old but not that old
However maybe I should have pointed out that it was unfortunately not the terraces of Anfield where I first watched footie , but non-league Guildford Town, 4th Div Aldershot and then Brighton when I were a little'un, no rooves, lots of weather.

Nowadays tho, if it ever iced up in winter and someone fell, years ago they'd just get up and get on with it. Now they'd be on to thier solicitor.
