Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Now this sounds like a good idea!! If only I had a season ticket...
RTK – THE KOP – A NEW ERA
Want to move your Season Ticket to the new core of the Kop?
"THE ATMOSPHERE'S NOT THE SAME SINCE THE KOP WAS SEATED...
YOU CAN'T HAVE A LAUGH WITH YOUR MATES...
EVERYONE'S SAT ALL OVER THE PLACE...
THE OLD SONGS ONLY GET SUNG IN THE PUBS, NOW...
THERE'S TOO MANY DAY-TRIPPERS...
IT'S HARD TO GET A GOOD, FUNNY SONG GOING...EVERYONE JUST STARES AT YOU...
THE KOP'S ONLY GOOD ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS..."
"John Arne Riise - I wanna knooooow why you've got no dough..." Just one of the songs that never was in recent weeks - an example of the spontaneous wit of The Kop that WON'T go down in the anecdote book. Why? For all the reasons listed above, and more, on-the-spot chants like this just don't get off the ground any more, or are very rare indeed. There’s no platform to launch them from, until now…
RTK can confirm that Liverpool Football Club have released a block of 1850 seats at the back of the current Kop that we can use to gather like minded fans together. A chance for current Season Ticket holders to move into this section and sit next to their mates and be surrounded by people of a similar mindset.
One of the major reasons why we feel the atmosphere lacks at certain league games, is there are pockets of fans scattered all over the ground. Groups of people that go to the games together, drink together, but can’t sit together. We’ve all been there, you want to start a song or join in with one started somewhere else, but nobody around you is interested. Now is the chance to move into an area where everyone will have the same attitude, and a real chance for us to improve the atmosphere at Anfield in its final two years.
During discussions with the club, RTK discussed the possibility of gathering like minded fans together in the new Kop, give the new ground a chance to bring everyone together and instead of maintaining the current Anfield atmosphere, improve it. We’ve been pleasantly surprised with the club’s response, and can confirm that as of next season, we will have a dedicated block of 1850 fans at the back of the Kop that have a chance to make a real difference and set the tone for the rest of the ground.
The old standing Kop had its heartbeat in the middle, where everyone that wanted to sing would gather, and it spread. Under the current seating arrangements, it has been impossible to re-create anything like that, until now.
This is a chance to get everyone together and get the atmosphere back at every game. The European games and Cup games groups of mates can get tickets together on the Kop, something they can’t do for league games. It makes a huge difference to the atmosphere, and we now have the chance to make that happen for league games on a far bigger scale. The same 1850 fans week in, week out, that know all the songs, and can really make a difference.
If successful, then the club have confirmed that this group of 1850 fans will also be grouped together in the new stadium behind the goal, as well as opening it out to 1000’s more fans in the new Kop. It is impossible to do that in the current Kop due to existing Season Ticket holders occupying seats, but in the new ground every seat is an empty one. This 1850 heartbeat can be increased to 5,000 or 6,000 if not more. Grouping as many people together that want to sing, making the new Kop the special place we all want it to be.
But for now, we’ve got to leave Anfield with a bang, and with almost 2000 of us together we have a chance to make that happen. No excuses. This is the biggest opportunity to make a difference we can be granted, lets make it count!
If you are a current Season Ticket holder, and are interested in moving into this section for next season, please e-mail us at RTK as soon as possible. There is also a downloadable jpg available to print off, where the form at the bottom can be handed into the HJC shop, or send an e-mail to [email protected] containing all the required information mentioned below and / or on the form attached.
It is important that when applying, you do so with the people you want to sit next to. So if there are 5 of you that are mates, and want to sit together in this section – please send all 5 people’s details to us on the SAME e-mail. Or if applying by posting the forms into the HJC shop, staple the group of forms together. We can then ensure that you are sat with these people when your Season Tickets are relocated.
We need the following details from anyone wishing to move:
Name:
Contact Number:
Address:
Current Season Ticket Location:
The current Season Ticket details must include the stand, row and seat number. E.G. Kop, Row 18, Seat 189.
In the case of an oversubscription, then Liverpool Football Club will select the successful applicants in the form of a ballot. This will not be controlled by RTK. We have taken on the task of gathering the information from all interested parties, and providing the club with the information, the rest is up to them.
Bring it on I say - its time to reignite the spirit, light the flame !!!
We all know what the next month will bring and its time to hit these no history, skankycomelatelies with everything they wish they could be.
i m getting well primed - I know enough cocksure Chelsea fans, I m just sittin' back waiting for the Anfield wall of noise to knock them completley off balance.
