IMO Hendo shouldn't start for this one, i think he should be used in a bit part role for now. As much as i feel Carra shouldn't be a starter, at the moment we have no choice. Coates is an unknown quantity, Skrtel is a disaster waiting to happen (but surely will start with injuries) & Kelly injured (Kenny seems to see him more as a RB)

Bellamy is a banker starter for me, looked very lively and dangerous when he came on. Was the only one bar Suarez who was looking to make things happen and not waiting for someone else to do it. Give us the pace, guile and determination needed to make chances.

For me depending on fitness: (EDIT)

    ------------Reina--------------
    Skrtel-Carra-Agger-Enrique
    -------------Lucas--------------
    Bellamy----Adam----Downing
    --------Kuyt--------------------
    -----------------Suarez--------

I don't think we need to put too much emphasis on Bale, but granted he is a threat.

However, what's best to combat that - youth or experience?

It could be detrimental to Flanagan's development in the long-term if he - after a confidence shattering performance against Sunderland - gets recalled and has another confidence shattering performance against Spurs. Perhaps he should be brought back in to the first team slowly - and the game against Brighton could be that game.

Skrtel didn't really do much wrong against Stoke, but if Kelly is fit, bring him back in. If not, a back line of:

      ---------------- Reina

      Skrtel -- Carragher -- Agger -- Enrique

      is more than adequate.

Spurs - suprisingly - are suffering in the centre of the park, so a midfield trio of Lucas, Adam and Henderon should have enough to over run them and dictate the pace. Kuyt on the right, but supporting Suarez, Downing on the left and Suarez causing mischief picks itself.

I was thinking about taking advantage of Spurs being without Dawson and playing Carroll, but I think we have enough on the ground to cause them problems.

      ------ Lucas -- Adam

      Kuyt --- Henderson --- Downing

      ---------- Suarez

Gerrard on the bench would be great and to be in the position to bring him on for 20 minutes would be superb.

So yeah, err ... the same team that started againt Stoke.

If both Kelly & Johnson are out injured then Kuyt has to start on the right to protect Flanagan, Carra or Skrtel. Enrique's pace will nullify Lennon's only thread so no problems there. Midfield will be key. If Lucas wins the battle against Modric then we'll come out on top.

We've been so unlucky at WHL the last few years. That season the Russian scored two late on after we battered them for 80 odd minutes still leaves a sour taste. Especially when we lost the league by two points.

I'm confident of this one though. We've a better team then them & a better manager. Fancy Carroll to knock in a few.

          Same here.

I personally expect the same lineup with possibly the exception of Flanagan instead of Skrtel.

Would like to see Bellamy from the start but I don't think Kenny will go for it.

RB is a worry. We need someone quick there. Kelly is quick but you don't throw someone in with a dodgy hamstring against Bale, that's just asking for trouble. We need a big game from Skrtel on Sunday!

I'd be worried about a slightly fragile in confidence Flanagan up against Bale.

As long as Carra & skittles can avoid maiming eachother this year it'll be an improvement

MS at RB is a good call...

True but we could potentially have a much bigger problem with the lack of pace if we feature Skrtel and/or Carra as a RB as I'm concerned that Bale will run circles around them.

Same team as against Stoke for me too unless Gerrard is fit enough to start in which case he'd replace Henderson

Kelly clearly won't be match, Flano shouldn't be anywhere near the startign 11 yet & as much as i think Skrtel is rash and a disaster waiting to happen, he is our only realistic option bar Carra for RB, unless we wanna throw Jay Spearing at RB if we are desperate.

It won't be a physical game and that will suit Flanagan. What I expect is that Harry will target Carra as our weakness in defence. All the other managers have done that so far this season.

Ade against Carra could be the key battle. Bale is a **** crosser, that helps of course.
